Razer Blade 15 Heat Issues (camera, mic and logo light dead)

As above and as I've seen on this forum a couple of times, the wire that governs the camera, mic and logo light runs across the hottest heatsink in the world to the point where the heat melts and damages the cable, resulting in dead components.

I'm in the process of sending mine back to either be repaired or replaced. I've had the laptop about 5 months and I've loved it but I paid £2.5k+ for it – an error like this is totally unacceptable. It's such a sexy, fast laptop (the lack of tacky gaming DNA rubbish is utter bliss) – honestly loved it but I'm worried about this happening again (as it most definitely will). Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening again in the future because, surprisingly, I still do want to own this laptop. It's been great to play and work on. Is there anything I can apply to the cable area that touches the heatsink that will protect it from the ridiculous heat?

Also considering buying the Razer Raptor (when they get a G-Sync version ready) but stuff like this puts me right off Razer... I really don't want to be put off!

Cheers!

Dan

Something like this would do the job. Not sure about clearance.

Lisa from mobiletech review and user with engineering background had been talking about this on this, her user name there is Pdagal, it would be fine according them, as the result now mine after 8 months doesn’t melt yet:wink_: Yes I’m gaming on high temperature often especially on some titles like Pubg, OW that couldn’t run well on my core setting and I need high FPS on those titles, it’s often running on high 80 to low 90ish cpu temperature.

Hi curious why you need that on your egpu setting, still with aktio and 1080ti? On that setting I can even kiss the Blade hottest area for 10 minutes since it’ll reduce cpu temperature up to 20 degrees on my setting, btw I challenge someone on NBR who said he can grill meat on Blade 15 Keyboard upper area same thing, he replied that I have special lip gloss for doing that lol😂

I was replying to OP question with a suggestion.
