Razer Blade 15 Thermal Heat Sink - is this normal?

Hi all,

Have been using my RB15 really well for the past year. After getting it serviced, I just want to say the support was great. They basically replaced everything minus the main board and chassis (so, new battery, LCD screen panel, bottom panel which was warped apparently).

Although it would have been nice if they notified me that I was going to get my system back minus the dbrand skins that I put on... bummer.

However, I noticed a discoloration of the heat sink when I proceeded to open it up and upgrade the RAM and SSD.

Is this normal? I really hope its not the liquid leaking out of the so-called "vapor chamber thermal heat sink".

Something to note is that performance has been really sluggish especially playing PUBG for an extended time of more than 20 minutes in-game.
On Overwatch I was averaging sub 90 FPS on "Ultra" preset which is a bit of a disappointment really in comparison to other benchmarks and reviews for this laptop.

Please advise!

Hi there! Thanks for posting your concern here. The discoloration is normal due to the heat and coming from the laptop itself plus the cooling effect of the laptop's vapor chamber. When did you notice its sluggish behavior? Does it happen on PUBG and Overwatch only?
