    Totally true @Joikansai , I don´t use any OC for gaming, not even UV since my temps are good. I was only using them for the benchmarking out of curiosity, I don´t think it is really needed, at least for now.

    When not UV-ing my temp shoots through 85 playing overwatch. I did get my ec4 update, and i think that is the culprit. Barely reached 9k with UV and no OC (9100ish).

    Gonna get another thorough check on the temps. Wouldn't mind knocking down few graphicc option in favour of the awsome build. But i need the temp in check for 4-5 years lifetime

    How much office use time did you guys get on battery? People have bee reporting around 5 hour. Mine was only 2.5 hour tops. 0% brightness, 135/50 UV and 100% cpu max state. Got any tips on improving this?

  3. Not working for me, the reason seems to be because Speed Shift is enabled in ThrottleStop (and can't be disabled).
    Anyway, when setting maximum CPU state to 65% in Windows power management, it caps the multiplier to 16, which is fine.

    For reference, I measured the max temperatures I got with different settings, after a 30 minutes OCCT and using Firefox.

    - Defaut Freq, Turbo On, No UV -> 91C (OCCT stops after 1:31 because too hot)
    - Defaut Freq, Turbo On, UV -160mv -> 68C
    - Defaut Freq, Turbo Off, UV -160mv -> 62C
    - Freq cap @1.6GHz, Turbo Off, UV -160mv -> 45C

    There is a huge difference just by undervolting.

    i got the same model on my original unit, it was a pleasant surprise back then :)

    i've started doing Firestrike benches. I noticed that my replacement unit is unable to match my original unit's score.

    Firestrike Benchmarking, +75,+150 OC with -0.18v UV.png

    Original Unit: +75/+150 GPU OC, -180mv UV - Score: 9612

    Firestrike Benchmark Stock EC4.00 -100mv, +75_150 GPU OC.png

    Replacement Unit: +75/+150 GPU OC, -100mv UV - Score: 9238

    I don't think the UV has anything to do with it. The CPU score is about the same. Although my replacement unit trumps the CPU temps.

    I think it's some configuration issue. I don't remember all the things I did on my original unit to tweak the GPU already :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:

    The 300+ pt difference also manifests itself without GPU OC. 9054 vs 9299.

    My machine has problems when waking from hibernation, where the consumption doesn´t go below -20,000mW and thus getting 2.5-3 hours. After disabling hibernation in the Power Plan settings, the consumption goes down to -10 to -13,000mW and can last over 5 hours.

    How to disable hibernating??

    i tried my usual -130 UV and new 60% max CPU setting. Managed to get approximately 4 hours in not so intensive work mode (no youtube stream).

    Hey guys not to start any debate here... but if you are worried about running in the low to mid 80s sometimes then a thin gaming laptop like this is not for you. Those temps will not hurt the machine... and by the time running at 85 effects anything you would be overdue for an upgrade. Don't need to cripple and undervolt the machine. Enjoy it as is and maximize the FPS you can get in any game. Cheers!

    Set 'Hibernate after' to 0.
    I also disabled "Turn on Fast Start up" in power options/choose what closing the lid does....to get the 5hour battery life. Something is wrong with the hibernation file....when the laptop wakes it sucks up power and doesn´t let up.

    Thanks for the input and some real sense, i appreciate it.
    But believe it or not my blade got better better benchmark scores when undervolted. i dont know why, but haven't tried it in real world gaming.

    See that is totally different.. if you see a better experience with an undervolt on CPU that's fine! Mine made no different either way.. so I decided to leave it.

    Guys, are these taken using the blade's laptop display?

    This guy has reached 9952 scores but using an external monitor. My own personal best was with an external monitor. I don't have access to an external monitor now so I cannot confirm it.

    yes mine was using an external hdmi display...using the laptop display I get around 50-70 points lower.

  15. Screenshot (1).png Screenshot (2).png So I am averaging in the mid 9800 but depending on conditions and whatnot I get in the 9900s on the internal monitor. I have not yet tried external monitor, have no undervolt, and still have killer suite installed. I uninstalled geforce experience, and did the EC4 update and installed throttlestop. Afterburner is 155/505

    Does anyone got Blade this year with serial number before BY1647A20803399 like discripted at first page? Just curious because my qhd+ that I've bought after I made RMA for fhd has ...1647A10..., and i remember that I have to upgrade to EC4 first, someone told in this forum that their machine come with EC4 fixed.

    Can someone verify how long does your Blade 1060 's battery last? And did you do any tweaks? Mine is only last 2:15 - 2:45 hours from 100%. The battery is draining very bad. I really need help from you guys....

    After disabling fast boot in windows and hibernation in the power settings, I am getting over 5 hours.

    I did that also, but not sure if I did right for the hibernation. The battery is still bad about 2:30 hours max
