I would like to see warranty not voided if you change RAM or HDD only like other OEM's out there.

2x msata or m2 slot for SSD & 1 sata slot for mechanical HDD or SSD
    option of 970m or 980m

I would of purchased a Razer and stuck with them a long time ago if they had offered these. Warranty void if you change your own RAM / SSD was a deal breaker for me.

Actually, the most important thing for the razer blade 2016 is battery, heat and noise. The razer core just made the whole gpu conversation obsolete. A gtx 970m would be just fine. Pls improve thermals and battery to make it the ideal gaming laptop.

  5. Hi.
I am also on board with the cooling, maybe add more exhaust vents in the back that they can look pretty like the exhaust vents on the site of maserattis sports cars

Maybe increase the size of the screen 14 inch but just slightly bigger with less vessels at the sides towards a wider screen.

Also a magnetic connecting charger, LED battery indication lights, improved battery life, more silent, even a lighter body, maybe different color options? and of course the latest generations of CPU and GPU, plus the usb-c connector.

I've been planning to get a powerful thin-and-light laptop for college, and the Razer Blade 14 was on the top of my list. However, I also checked out the new Auros x3 v5, and it just seemedbetter. Smaller, thinned, lighter, quieter, more upgrade-able, better I/O, faster storage, and the like (It was quite a lot more expensive, though).

However, after I got the chance to physically use both of them, I immediately noticed problems like keyboard flex, cheap construction (for it's 3000+ price tag). Razer gaming experience really made the Blade 14 the best laptop in it's size category, but I think it's due for a refresh. Here are my ideas for the the Razer Blade 14, 2016.
    • I/O: 2x USB 3.1 Type C (Thunderbolt 3) on the top corner of both sided of the laptop, where the charging port would normally be. Here are the reasons: 1. Charging: Using Type-C for charging makes the Blade 14 more future-proof, allow us to charge from the left or the right, which is a HUGE help for preventing messy cables all over the place, and also allow us to use portable chargers for the Blade 14, as the entire point of the thing is to be an on-the-go gaming station. Maybe even a first-party power back from Razer, perhaps? 2. Core: This might be unlikely to be implemented, but Core support for the Blade 14 would be sweet! 3.Future-proofing: Yep, nothing to say here. Separate Headphone/Microphone jacks: Probably not possible because of size constraints, but since a lot of gaming-grade headphones use 2 jacks, it would be nice to see.
    • Display: G-SYNC: Well, not a lot to say here, again. The Blade 14 already had a spectacular display, but G-Sync would make the experience a lot smoother. Again, I don't know how this is implemented, and may not be possible for any number of reason, but would be great to have.
    • Hardware: Well, now we get to the insides. Here's my idea: GTX 970M (no reason to change this bad boy), Skylake i7-6700HQ (newer architecture, and better effeciency), 16 GB DDR4 2133 MHz (Because Skylake!), 2 PCI-e Gen 3 x 4 M.2 SSD's: M.2 NVMe is the way to go for super-fast laptop storage, and having 2 of them would allow RAID 0, and having one, fast boot SSD, and a larger, slower, mass storage one.
Here are some other suggestions that I personally would love to see:
    • 1080p,60 fps, high-quality webcam for streamers/YouTubers
    • A fingerprint sensor
    • A RealSense webcam
Any other suggestions from people who've used the blade for longer?

Core WILL be a feature for the new 2016 Blade. It has to be.

Razer's been broadcasting to the world that all the Core needs for compatibility is a USB-C/TB3 porta and some BIOS settings... And they wouldn't do that for they're premier product?

The Razer Blade seems like it doesn't really need a Core... but that's just my opinion.

  11. Yea it should be strong enough without the core, as the only purpose i see for the core is just for an external GPU for the machines with no dGPU.

  12. The screen that capable of 144hz for first person shooter games xD

Refresh rate doesn't matter for LCDs. The response time and g-sync would.

Core likely won't be a "feature" but I can't imagine them leaving the usb-c / tb3 port off of the 2016 blade so it should be compatible. I'd love a gsync screen.

That's still quite early considering the Razer Blade Stealth itself has just gotten released, don't you think? o_O

  18. i just hope they refresh the blade 14 asap with the new cpu (increased battery life) and then add chroma keyboard to it. I feel like everything else is good enough for now already.
