Yes, these ideas are fantastic. In addition, I also think that they need to add ThunderBolt 2, since Intel owns it now instead of only Apple. If ThunderBolt is added, that takes care of Mini DP. Also, a charging port like the Apple MagSafe would be a good idea so that is someone steps on your cord, it doesn't drag your multi-thousand-dollar laptop around and possible damage it. A Chroma Keyboard would be awesome. Unfortunately, there is no GeForce GTX 1070M yet, 980M is the best you can get for now. However, on the Blade Pro, where there is more space, SLI 980M's are a possibility. Also, RJ-45 (Ethernet) would be welcome back to the Blade. And yes, I do agree that you should be able to put and freely upgrade your SSD's. Maybe having 2 SSD's in RAID0 as an option would be epic. And I think that concludes all of my ideas for the 2016 Razer Blade Models.

how do arrow keys make the laptop less portable in any way?

They won't do much to the portability, just force Razer to re-work that whole section, plus, since the Blade body is made mostly from one piece of aluminum, they would have to totally change the manufacturing process. However, I do agree that this would be an awesome modification to an already awesome Laptop.

Yes that would be pretty awesome, but it would be really good if Razer decided to put in a highest end GPU (like the 980m of the next gen). And hopefully in the next version there comes a G-Sync panel that is high res :3

Or ask nVidia to make a mobile version for Titan X :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That would be sick but I don't see it happening soon, but I did look at some gaming laptops, and I am going to purchase one,

While that would be awesome in the future, they need to first work on the GTX 980 TiM or 980M Ti, however they put it. The Titan M would be a stretch and would require massive amounts of cooling to work.

    My wishlist would be:
-Added chroma lighting to keyboard and back logo
-Improved thermals and battery life by upgrading to skylake CPUs and Pascal GPUs
    -GSync support for smoother gameplay
-And finally (probably never going to happen) a 1080p touchscreen model starting at $1800

I have the 2014 version and I love it, I'm planing to get the 2015 latter this year.
For the 2016 version, a mini Display port/Thunderbolt would be great, so we can plug to a 144hz monitor.

    Realistically speaking:

I don't see a point of going 4k touch screen on a 14" laptop, its taxing on the battery and a GTX 970m isn't exactly powerful enough to run any native game well at 4k and nor will the next generation of GPUs, only chance is SLI and forget that.

My only concerns for upgrading this latop are:

    - Up-gradable ram.
    - Slimmer bezels.
    - Second M.2 slot.
    - Keyboard with RGB lighting and larger arrow keys.
    - Swap that HDMI for 2.0 or add a mini-DP port.
    - Try improve battery life.
    - Try improve thermal control.
    - Add an external docking station that is capable of using external graphics (Like Alienware).
    - More customization options ! I want 1080p with 512GB SSD + 16gb ram dammit!

Lastly, lower the price tag! I know a lot of people who absolutely adore my 2015 Blade 14" FHD but once I mention it costs $2850aud [w/ student discounts] for a 256gb SSD storage + 8gb ram laptop they sorta back off without any reasoning. My suggestion is $2500aud. If you think you will be losing profits, I doubt it since the increase in demand will be scoring much higher as its now a much more reasonable price-tag, the more Blades, the more marketing, hence why Macbook Pros are such a big hit and cost a lot for what little they have to offer.

None the less, I can't complain the 2015 14" Razer Blade is the closest laptop I've used that comes near perfection. However spending $2850aud on a laptop that I plan on keeping for years is extremely frustrating knowing there is only one SSD slot and non-upgradable ram. With the upgraded specs then I would be forced to buy the QHD+ model which is ridiculous at $4000+ for a screen that I find useless.

Two things. At 4k, display scaling should be easier in theory. 1px becomes 2px square. I'm not exactly a display expert though, so maybe that's not how it works :) Secondly, 4k would be nice for video editing and playback. Otherwise, yes, the super high pixel density doesn't do much for me. I'd rather have 4K on a 50 inch monitor.

I doubt we would get Skylake CPU's in Laptops for at least a year or more, we would get the 5th gen CPU's instead

Intel just announced availability of the first Skylake chips at Gamescon 2015 last week. Evidently, they're already shipping as reviews are popping up online. If laptops trail by a year, that would seem unusual to me.

Well, maybe razer should just wait longer for this update so that we can get skylake. That should give them more time to figure out how to add chroma lighting, gsync, and more battery life.

Chroma lighting and battery life is something they should work on, but Gsync isn't something they have to develop, they just have to use a certified panel unless they plan to make their own. But Skylake CPU's will have to see the wait, they might as well release the Broadwell version as an upgrade or a computer that new consumers can look to get when getting their Blades. No point of postponing unless it will affect the quality

Another suggestion for the Blade lineup is to have basically an equivalent of Alienware's Graphics Amplifier Port. Then have a sick, sleek package with a 300 Watt PSU and PCiE slot and double-wide and double-length support for future upgrades. More I/O would help, and an extra M.2 slot for more storage would be a blessing.

  20. Update cpu/gpu
    Longer battery life
    Better cooling
    16gb ram all models
    Hdmi in and out (please)
    Fix arrow keys
    And 1080p face cam
