I would love to see some really nice speakers in the blade. A finger print scanner would be cool too but I guess it doesnt really matter.

The next generation blade should have:
    • i7 skylake CPU
    • better graphics
    • a chroma enable key board and logo
    • better speakers ( a sub-woofer would be nice)
    • better thermals (skylake uses less power)
    • finger-print proof top
    • more storage options (another m2 slot/ user up gradable)
    • better battery life
    The following I/O:
    • USB 3.1
    • HDMI 2.0
    • USB type c
Anything else you guys think Razer should improve on?
I might be pushing it but a slimmer blade would be nice (redesign?)

Skylake should really improve the blade overall.
I hope the next generation of the blade will have some major upgrades, both internally and externally.

I sense a joke in there somewhere about fingerprints on the paint job ;)

I would say thermals should be number one, next upgraded with skylake cpu's, a chroma upgrade would be nice, and more storage space.

    My list is actually doable:

-Matt display (maybe 4k but 3k can do the trick too) WITH G SYNC don't waste the brilliant engineering on getting a touch screen to work because it's useless on a gaming laptop
-thinner bezels (dell infinity display much)
-CHROMA KEYS PLEASE (keep chiclet style keyboard)
-Maybeeee a full numeric keypad on the 17 inch model??
-Macro keys like how msi does it with their steel series keyboard on the GS series laptops
-Better dedicated mouse buttons on touchpad (more clicky rather than the mushy soft press it currently has)
-USB TYPE-C (compatible with thunderbolt) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEEEE HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY: IT CAN MAYBE EVEN CHARGE THE DEVICE!! (please have more than one usb-type c port) IF NOT then at least a thunderbolt
-mini display port rather than hdmi
    -skylake
-I doubt the desktop 980 in notebooks will happen here but the latest mobile gpu please :D
-SD Card slot? (not a priority)
    -ddr4 16gb ram on BOTH MODELS -.-
-input display io maybe??? (so we don't need to get a capture card for console gaming?? sounds like a cool idea)
-ability to upgrade hard drive and memory without voiding warranty? (I can see why it would though)

I'm saving up for the next iteration of the blade and if it can nail mainly the chroma keys, display and usb type c I'm gonna be one fucking happy camper.

MIN TANG AND THE ENGINEERING TEAM, DON'T LET ME DOWN THIS YEAR!! I EXPECT BIG THINGS IN 2016!! I'M WORKING MY BUTT OFF IN MY VICTORY LAP YEAR FOR THIS LAPTOP AND IT'LL BE MY DAILY DRIVER IN UNI SO PLEASEEEE HIT THE NAIL IN THESE POINTS AND I SHALL LOVE YOU FOREVER. I LITERALLY MADE AN ACCOUNT ON THIS FORUM JUST FOR THIS

This isn't gonna happen but it would be cool as a concept:

Like how MSI used the docking system to connect a desktop grade gpu through pci express, maybe razer could do that same thing where the laptop has toned down specs. And at the back where the pcie slot is, it's discreetly covered up by a flap or something so it doesn't ruin the minimalistic design of the flagship blade design

I disagree on the "ain't gonna happen". This is what Razer needs to do to stay relevant, and releasing a cool eGPU enclosure as well as adding (via USB-C) the ability to connect an external graphics card would be amazing.

Just a usb-c/thunderbolt 3 is fine for egpu. It replaces everything. 2 would be needed so we can plug a screen and use egpu. 3 would be awesome but hard to implement.

Oh and ips display instead of tn?

    1. Lack of Nvidia G-Sync would be a deal breaker.
    2. Skylake processor is a no brainer
    3. USB 3.1 (C) is going to be the new standard so I would love for at least a couple of those. If thunderbolt is out by then, even better.
    4. MXM format graphics card, please!

work on the heat, plus a pcie x4 (or raid, but preferably a pcie x4), next top of the line gpu( sli???? I doubt it but would definitely be welcome!), 16 gb ddr4, and skylake processor would make it awesome! extended battery life, nfc, usb type c, and a less reflective screen would also be cool, but not a priority for me :) I just really want much faster storage and the latest and greatest performance with better heat management. smaller bezels with a 15 inch infinity display screen like the xps 13 would be awesome, also with some enhancements in the colour to make in even more accurate.

  13. This new razer has to have a place to put discs in and have the colorful lights on the keyboard
    1) A PLACE TO PUT DISCS IN
    2) colorful keyboard

  14. Good point, btw, I am thinking the new Samsung 950 pro as well, but do you think razer blade 2015 can handle the speed it provides, or its a overkill??

  15. This new razer has to have a place to put discs in and have the colorful lights on the keyboard
    1) A PLACE TO PUT DISCS IN (aka disk drive)
    2) colorful keyboard

Don't think a optical drive will be likely, these days fewer and fewer computers have optical drives and adding one to the blade could make thicker

How about a Surface type tablet? All in one tablet, since it's already touch screen, with a detachable keyboard/cover, and maybe the possibility of a docking station for more expandability. I saw someone suggested a convertible laptop/tablet, but honestly who actually likes those?
Maybe even go the route of a Surface Book type system, but with a normal 16:9 screen (Surface Book has a 3:2 screen) and have the base be for expandable storage, sli, maybe have it be the docking station. If this is done, I do not want what they did with the Book, where the headphone jack is in the top right corner, instead I think it should be at the bottom of the tablet in landscape, and have it connect to the base, the Book just looks odd with it's headphone jack in it's location.
The hardest part of making a tablet Blade would be the cooling. I wouldn't mind seeing cooling going in from the sides, out the back, and it wouldn't interfere with anything if it becomes a Surface/Surface Book clone.
Actually, it could be both a Surface clone and a Surface Book clone, just have the same tablet, then have different add-ons. I actually really want to see this, it would need a new name of course; but it could be the thinnest, most powerful, most portable (because tablet) gaming laptop/tablet on the market. And I'd definitely buy one.

Anyone else have thoughts on this idea?

Hi Guys! does anybody roughly know about the release date of the new model 17'' blade pro in 2016?

  19. You guys should really add an optical drive if you would I would automatically buy it and some other people were about to get the 2015 razer but they did because some people would want to put music in a cd but they cant or some type of game so you guys should add an optical drive

  20. You guys should put an optical drive because the world of warcrafts expansions have only cds
