I did complain about this before but I wasn't able to record the sound due to a bad microphone. If you put on earbuds or headphones you should clearly be able to here the noise I am talking about. It should be noted that the fan was idle while recording this. Does anyone know a fix to this sound or what it means?

Can’t hear that. What synapse profile btw? High pitching noise comes sometimes usually on gaming not on idle. Mine is from cpu Fan on gaming mode, changing it to balanced make it gone but on max load it may come again, it’s because 6 cores cpu on that thin cassis, that’s also why Apple limiting the cpu performance on MacBook Pro 2018, Razer doing that by balanced mode.

Is the issue always present or only while you're playing games (or the laptop is under some other load)?

Only when doing light work like browsing the web or replying to you. I don't hear it when the laptop is under load.

I am using balanced mode all the time. And I hear it when the fans are idle and it is under very minimal load like browsing the web or even when doing nothing. When you say you cant hear it do you mean in the video or from your laptop?

I have this awful high pitched noise while gaming. The actual fans are fine they make a kind of whoosh sound. It's the high pitched god awful sound they make. I can't stand it even with headphones I hear it. Is this normal with everyone? I'm so tempted to ask for a replacement because I actually have a headache from it.

If it makes you headache and noticeable even with headphones, I think you should ask replacement, mine not always made those noise and definitely unnoticeable under headphones usage. It’s usually when Fans at max load on 3,9 Hz cpu frequency, so reducing it per software like throttlestop may reduce that noise.
Hmm, did you check cpu usage maybe malware etc running background and eat a lot cpu usage that made it loud. On balanced mode it should be quite, unless you downloading something, thin cassis laptops with six cores made the Fans a bit sensitive imo, my previous 4 cores Blade was also same that why most poeple undervolting that.
I can’t hear noise sound on that video but I can imagine it. Btw some users are putting their ears near keyboard to check it.

Sorry, but this is nonsense. CPU does not make any kind of sound.

Since its present only while gaming, I'm absolutely sure its GPU coil whine. You can't really do anything about it, so I recommend getting a replacement.

I don’t even notice noise issues on op video, he’s using balanced mode not gaming mode. On balanced mode cpu is locked at 35 watt stable with performance drop for silent usage on idle. Gaming mode unlock it and get stable 45 Watt for real frequency usage of 8750H. I think that high pitching noise I talked comes from fans on Blade and I can notice it sometimes also on Blade stealth which doesn’t have gpu, though far quiter than Blade 14/15. I’m assuming it’s from air blowing on thin laptops when Fan works hard, like air fluting, it’s different with coil whine imo.

I have the same trouble as Dylan415uk. Even in gaming mode, if I manually set the fan to 4500 rpm, the sound like a whistle of an unfavorable treble is ringing. It disappears or hears according to the position of the head, probably because the wind noise of the two fans is the same frequency, I think resonance and a loud noise comes out. I think it would be better to change the specification of Synapse so that we can change the rotation speed of the two fans individually.
I'm wondering whether to repair, so I would like to know if other people have the same problem too. (Unfortunately I have replaced SSD so I can not return it with initial failure.)
It seems that the cause of the noise whitch uploaded to the video is different from the fan.

Did you try undervolting it? This high pitching noise is well known from previous Blade. But it’s better on Blade 15 since we can adjust the fans. And some other gaming laptops made also such noise, some are even on idle fans, which Blade 15 doesn’t, well at least mine. I increase also bottom area to reduce that on full load which is usually the sound coming. Some enthusiasts on other thin light gaming laptop user uninstall their fans controller software (like Synapse) and doing Bios tweaks to make it gone, when I’m not wrong.

Thank you for the information. The turbo ratio limit is set to x36, and the voltage is set to -150 mV.
I also had RazerBlades(GTX1060) of the 2016 and 2017 models, but I heard this unpleasant high tone noise for the first time. I also experienced the noise like the propeller aircraft due to the initial failure of the fan, and I also know the coil noise, but they are totally different things.
I heard an alarm sound like intermittent like a sine wave of about 4.5 kHz other than that in the sound of the strong wind. 4.5 kHz at 4500 rpm seems to be a little strange, but actually sounds close to the sine wave of G # (4500 Hz). Well, I guess the quality of the PC fans I have is bad. Thank you. I would like to be helpful for everyone with other same problems.

Last night I was playing vampyr on balanced mode and auto Fans accidentally, forgot to set my gaming setting, it was incredibly silent, of course there’s fan activities I could notice, but it likes never before. The performance was also smoothly like on my OC 210/700 profile. Unfortunately I forgot also to monitor the temperature, FPS etc. Btw I just upgraded ssd and clean install the windows yesterday. Right after installation i tested my gaming profile performance on Firestrike, and I didn’t notice that Fans is quiter because I used my profile gaming and max Fans rpm, and could also notice that high pitching noise if I put attention on it. I’ll check it again tonight.

I tried recording from around 45 degrees diagonally with a microphone. Switching from balance mode to gaming mode will raise the number of revolutions and return to the lower speed again. It is easy to understand when playing from around the center position of the sound file.

It seems that there is a problem with my RazerBlade's fans.
So,I plan to ask Razer's support to replace the fan unit.
I just bought the item and just received it,but unfortunately it seems that the warranty is invalid because I opened the back panel and replaced the SSD etc ...I think that repair will probably be a fee.
Afterwards, I will write what happened if I have some progress that will be helpful for everyone.
    Thank you.

Yes I’ve such high pitch noise but not as high as yours, it’s mix with that blowing fans noise, especially on 5000rpm manual. Yes it’s quite annoying and even worse than my old Blade 14. No opening back lid and changing ssd won’t avoid the guarantee, just put the original back. They made it upgrade able, ram and ssd are easy to access so user definitely open it.

Thank you for telling me about the guarantee.
Your high pitch noise is the volume hidden in blowing fans noise, isn't it? I recorded with a microphone a little above to be able to understand high pitch noise, but it is clearly disgusting, so you are right.
    Thank you for the information.

Provide the support with the video that recorded that sounds, i sent them also video before at first time i bought old Blade due Fans noise to exchanging the unit. I also remember Lisa from mobiletech mentioned that high pitching noise on previous Blade 14 but on her Blade 15 she said it’s not exist which I thought also same, not gone though but it’s way better, from owning both, previous and current model. Maybe it’s also different in every unit like silicon lottery on gpu.

it's possible that the coils of the switched powersupply are making the noise so thats probably why it changes with the load of the system. hope you get it fixed.
