They are having problems with those screens, maybe is a good option to wait for the next gen Razer Blade tho.

they use some portable screens, you can check these out.

https://www.amazon.es/gp/search?tag=linustechti05-21&keywords=Gechic+Monitor I was waiting for the QHD+ one but decide to go for the 1080P because is a 1060gtx and the performance is way more good. I have the 2016 model QHD+ and the battery don't last so much with the high temps. U_u'

Yes I was considering also gechic brands that I saw before in Linus video, but for the hardware price kkmoon is more reasonable. If its price for 4K one I'll get it.

It would be cool (sorta) if they just took the blade stealth design, extended the screen .7" to make it a 14" screen (which is possible, I think), put a 1060 or 1070 with max q and call it a day.

I am giving up on the 4k screen as an option and am looking at the other, now more attractive, laptops. Even though I really like the look, keyboard etc...

We are in Q3 already and no mention of its potential release from any Razer reps. :-(

Just curious, which laptops are you guys choosing if not the blade?

  8. I really like X5 MD. I think it will last for multiple years easily.

X5 MD is nice gaming laptop but I think it couldnt be classified to Blade 14 class, it's more on Blade Pro because of its gysync tech that would kill the battery life, even though Blade 14 uhd screen would also kill it. The competitors for now are XPS 15 4K (weaker GPU) or upcoming 4k Aero 15 (but lack of touchscreen capabilities). But for the hardware price X5 MD is reasonable, but me personally would get stealth for my touchscreen systems solution because already have FHD 14 for gaming.

Yea I am looking strongly at the AERO 15. So far that is the front runner.

Hoping to debate buying long enough for Razer to say something. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

For me personally Aero 15 only wins by its bezel, they have still a lot of issues like with the rgb keyboard, they have to send their engineers to Dell (learning infinite edge technology) and to Razer (learning rgb Keyboard) to make Aero 15 better;) Once Razer update its 14 Blades bezel thinner, but noticed to keep front camera on top, i think they will lead again the competition.

Well I guess they kept us waiting to combine it with the new max q design cards. But thats just a theory of mine.

However it would be amazing :D poor they are waiting for 4k 144hz panels which Acer and Asus are comming up with in the next months which would be incredible for esports titles!

Personally, I'll wait a liiiiitttttlllle longer. There's got to be someway to get Razer to officially say what's going on. The amount of people who just need a statement from Razer for the 4k blade has to add up to at least tens of thousands of dollars, which translate to sells missing later. I guess when your balling out of control (Min), who cares..

I did notice that Min sometimes answers the first or and second person to respond to his facebook updates. Maybe if a bunch a people asked the same 4k blade questions on his facebook page, he might feel obligated to say something:stuck_out_tongue:. Its actually kinda sad that I have to suggest this.

I'd love to see how the 4k laptop plays out. I really would like this as well! I do want to see the reviews first and comparisons/differences of previous model, if any. Then how far along the next release of a 14 inch laptop is :)

No one knows, maybe only official staffs and the CEO know what is going on. If you really want it and waiting the review, you have to really really have a patience;) which i didn't and bought FHD instead waiting for it. It's still advertised on the page anyway. Poeple are hoping though for a comment from official staff, especially for poeple who are waiting since February and heard the rumors from some media that it would be released sometimes in Q2.

I wasn't aware they were making a 4K model of the Blade. I wouldn't mind it as I don't much care for 1080p unless it's for gaming. lol.

To be honest unless it has a new hardware like a 1070 max q though I wouldn't drop to buy a new one. And to be honest it looks like Asus and Msi are going to be giving Razer some serious competition with their thin and light laptops. That Zepheryus is one sexy looking laptop. . .and it only cost $100 more than my blade did when I bought it. Wait what?!?! o_O

I had a chance to try it yesterday? Even it has better hardware specs, For the price it should be better. First screen, it has higher fresh rate but its tn panel really looks cheap, its viewing angle, Blade 14 is way better. Portability, it's thin, but 15,6 inch without infinite edge display is quite big that made Blade portability is better. Touchpad, maybe it's still software related issues but it was not responsive, maybe the numkey changeable function made it less responsive. Battery life, price difference (here around €750 with 512 blade 14), i think Blade 14 still more reasonable in price to performance, correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you're sure it's TN? Every review I've read says it's IPS.

    Joikansai Well-Known Member VANGUARD

Sorry, i just checked it yes it's Not TN, IPS. Just heard from my friend the owner, he said so;) Its his first gaming laptop, but the viewing angle on Blade 14 blows it, so i thought also it's a TN.

Ah ok. That sounds pretty bad because I think the screen on the razer blade 14 has terrible horizontal viewing angles. I have the QHD model though. Not sure if the 1080p model is better. MSI has the best screens on their laptops from my experience. If you want a good screen on a laptop then look at the MSI GS63VR. Those blow the blades screen out of the water. :wink_:
