Razer Blade Advanced 2018 Webcam not Working

See capture.png. Webcam not detected, not working after I turned it on this year. Bought last year but never used. Please assist

I read that bios 1.05 is causing the issue, I am running on this version. I also read that bios 1.07 fixed the issue. can i have a link to this updated bios please? i need the webcam as I do skype meetings... this is urgent

I did the update and nothing happened. Any other suggestions?

I'm afraid we need to perform a factory reset to fully determine the severity of this issue.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • All data, games, and applications will be removed in this process. Please back up all required data to an external drive.
  • Windows updates, Synapse updates, and software installation will be required once your Blade has been recovered.
  • If your Blade was upgraded to a different OS other than the one it shipped with (i.e. Windows 8 to Windows 10), the recovery partition will recover it to the original OS.
  • The process may take some time to complete and require several updates and restarts of the system.

STEPS:

  • Turn off the Blade and connect the Blade to a reliable power source.
  • Press the power button on the Blade and immediately begin to rapidly press the F9 function key at a rate of 1.5 times per second.
  • If you missed the moment where you can access System Recovery and the system boots into the Windows Operating System, Restart your computer and rapidly press the F9 function key again.
  • Once you have successfully logged into the recovery partition, you will be prompted with 2 options.
  • Select “Start Recovery” and the system will proceed with the recovery process
  • While the recovery process is in progress, do not under any circumstance turn the Blade off or unplug the Blade from its power source.
  • Once the recovery process is completed, the Blade should shut down on its own.

Once you're done with the procedure, please test the camera again and make sure to update me afterward.
