Razer Blade Base 15 2070 MaxQ Overheating and Underperforming

Laptop will freeze when watching a movie. Stopped gaming for a few months and now that im trying to play a game its unplayable. Either i crash or i get 10frames. Laptop has always ran really hot and the fans would kick to full speed even when watching a movie back when it was brand new
(1 year ago). i don't understand, didnt i buy a gaming laptop? that now cant even play a movie and my guarantee is out, so convenient.

and no, there is nothing blocking the fans. ever since i got it i always put something to level the laptop higher that way it breaths better (positioned where it does not block the fans)

i have an air compressor i use to dust it out

before beside the temp problems, there really was nothing else. its a damn hot laptop but it played any game i threw at it at great performance. until now

There are so many factors~~~

hardware and software involved

hardware
What happens if you manually override the fan to run at max speed?
try remove the air compressor

software
when running a movie, check the taskmgr and see the performance percentage.
do you have many applications running in the background?

how is the idle state?
does it take long for the Windows to turn on?

Virus could also be a factor.

Thanks for shedding some light on this topic @Sye_The-Vie.

Dust and other foreign material clogging the vents can add up to your laptop's temperature aside from the resource-intensive programs that are running on your computer.
