So I had originally posted a thread a few days back giving some ideas on what the next Razer Blade should have. One of those ideas was giving the Razer Blade the "Chroma Treatment" meaning that the Blade would finally have RGB lights to finally match up with all the Chroma peripherals Razer has been releasing. To give people an idea of what I had in mind, I created the photo above to demonstrate my idea of a Razer Blade Chroma Laptop. Let me know what you all think! :)

There is a poll above for those who want to vote for either "Yes" to the "Chroma Treatment" or "No" to just stay with "Green." If this idea gets through to Razer, then hopefully we'll see the New Razer Blade Chroma Laptop in the Skylake refresh! Happy voting! ;)

This poll applies to the Razer Blade Pro as well on the side of the Razer Blade.

I just had another idea for Razer Synapse if Razer actually gives the Razer Blade the "Chroma Treatment." They should add a "Sound Reactive mode" for the keyboard on the side with Static, Wave, Spectrum Cycle, Breathing, and Reactive

The keyboard in your photo looks like my laptop. LOL :)

Though, i think it would be just awesome to have a lit Razer logo on the lid that could change colors. Brilliant. (mine is not a Blade, so I just put a Razer sticker on my lid)

  3. That's the idea. Fully customizable RGB Keyboard and customizable RGB Logo on the lid. ;)
  4. This is actually a great idea for the blade! but if they are going to increase the price then I guess I'll pass. awesome Image though :D

  5. Well, if they actually give the blade this, then hopefully the price doesn't go up anymore than it's already at. I think the price they want for the current one is really crazy. I think chroma lighting, G-sync panel, and second storage option would justify the $2,000+ price tag.

Wowww. That really looks amazing. Though the possible price of it is scary

  7. Hopefully just a $100 mark up. That's the most a chroma edition should have as a mark up. haha

Haha hopefully! If it was only a $100, I'll definitely get the chroma version. Too pretty to not have!!

  9. Do keep in mind though, Razer may be working on a G-Sync panel and hopefully adding a second storage option (for those incoming 2016 games that require a massive amount of storage), that will either justify the current outrageous price or just make it go sky high and possibly leave the marketing team wondering why so few people are buying their laptops. xD
  10. Yeah you really do have a point since all the stuff we're paying for the blade is the thinner form factor.
I really want Razer to step up their game since MSI is actually becoming a better alternative :/

  11. There is also Alienware's new laptops (I own an Alienware 14) which are much thinner than last year and are actually much more powerful for under $2000. Another laptop at around $1500 is the ASUS ROG G501 which is almost as thin as the Razer Blade 14 and features 4GB GDDR5 VRAM with its GTX 960M. So I believe Razer's chance in the laptop market is there pricing in the next lineup. If they bump the price up anymore, I would say that they're already out of the gaming laptop market. I don't know even a handful of gamers in 2015 who'll pay $2,000+ for a laptop, for a desktop maybe, but not a laptop. If there is no upgradeability, there is not much value.

Man i totally forgot about that. Haha hopefully there would be another CES appreciation sale again. LOL. That'll definitely increase sales of the laptop!

  13. Hopefully, but you would think Razer would buy a clue and give the laptop a few hundred dollar mark down. right? haha

I think that prices can only increase  Even like the deathadder chroma and the blackwidow chroma also increased their prices ._.

Damn these concept photos look like a real deal... Are you sure it's just a concept idea? Anyway, I'd suggest the Razer logo stays green with brighter LED lighting rather than the existing design (it looks like a green sticker pasted on it) while the keyboard goes fully customizable.

  16. The reason why the logo isn't so bright on the laptop is because it's illuminated the same way an apple macbook laptop is illuminated. The screen backlight is what makes the logo illuminate. Also, if we were to leave the logo green then it wouldn't feel like much of a "chroma treatment." I assume Razer uses references to help them make new products and if you think about it, making a color changing logo on the lid shouldn't be that hard.

To prevent the screen backlight from illuminating the logo if it were to be turned off, they can simply stick a black paper thin sticker that seperates the screen from the logo. Then in order for the color illumination, replace the cureent green plastic logo with a clear plastic glass logo and mount only one single RGB LED in the lid. Why only one? Well the crazy thing about using a clear plastic glass logo is that one light can illuminate the entire thing. Here is an example using the logo on an Alienware lid (If there are any Razer employees or staff looking at this, I would recommend using this as reference):

It's time for the 'standard LED' then i guess;) don't you think so? Who's not liking the bright LED lighting

I see you're into gaming laptops. Own an 18 780m SLI myself. Want to sell it soon though to pick up one of the newer ones with Skylake & the graphics amplifier.

I used to have a blade too. Used it for a couple of months and then sold it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. It looks so perfect, so beautiful, and just exudes classiness but with a hint of gamer attitude. However, I couldn't get over the dead ends in terms of upgradeability and repairability (not a problem with Alienware laptops since you can literally replace everything).

Blade with Chroma, Skylake, Pascal and some level of user serviceability would be my perfect machine. I just don't like the idea of not being able to clean the keyboard after the crevices gunk up, or not be able to do anything if you get a GPU short (which has happened to me on multiple occasions with gaming laptops).
