  1. Hey Guys

Recently was pretty upset with my Razer blade late 2016's CPU temps, so I decided to look around for a fix. I decided to undervolt it with some bios mods and reapply the thermal paste. Here are the results -

I'm extremely happy with these results, now I can finally play PUBG without burning my fingers xD
I've heard a lot of stories about thermal re applying not going well, but for me it was a great improvement, with much lower temps and it heating up much slower. And the new 3dmark scores are amazing. If anyone would like a tutorial on what bios mods I used, and how to re apply thermal paste I'd be happy to.

Thought I'd post this so people can compare this with there system, and decide whether to do anything to it.

    Have a nice day!

(PS, Sorry I couldn't get a GPU reading)

    Nice comparison / results table.
What thermal paste did you used? Did you also applied a new thermal pads? Or applied a stock ones again?

  3. I used Arctic Silver 5 with the cleaning kit, it's the best thermal paste out there and got it for like $20 of amazon.

Didn't apply new thermal pads sadly, the stock ones seemed pretty good.

Set ASPM off could to bump your Firestrike score. And set synapse to balance as well, your Firestrike overall score will be better, need more? uninstall nvidia experience experience if you don’t use it.
    Cheers

  5. Disabled ASPM already, brought my firestrike up a lot. What do you mean by synapse to balanced?

Geforce experience is wayyy too good to disable tho, uninstalling didn't even bring up my score anyways.

What do you mean by cooling mode? I thought it was low setting on Synapse (fan speed), my Bad, setting it on high would increase the score for me. About nvidia experience, I didn’t check it recently but around 6 months ago with Nvidia experience installed my score was around 100~ lower, maybe they fixed it already, and yes nvidia experience is also important for me. But after manage disabling ASPM I didn’t care about it anymore, my score was already on same place with other top gtx1060 laptops.
Edit: just tested again, on my Blade 14 with nvidia experience installed i got still around 150 lower FS overall score, well anyway on real gaming experience it maybe only 1 FPS difference I prefer have it installed.
