So I'm sitting there playing a game when suddenly I see the logo on the back of my Blade (15") light up, which it never has before. First thought in my head... well Hail Hydra, second thought, why has this never lit up before?
Now it lights up randomly and just as randomly stops

Assuming you’ve advanced model, yes it’s on default should light up. On synapse there’re three options for that static light up, breathing and light off. Maybe before somehow software put it in light off mode and after some update it brings the light back, maybe worth to check on synapse light tab.
Base model and it doesn't show anything about the logo lighting, just the keyboard, which I don't use anyway (Huntsman Elite) and I generally keep the lid down and use a monitor, which is how I noticed when it suddenly DID light up
