Razer Blade Pro 17 (2020) black screen

Yesterday I purchased a RBP 17 (2020) edition, and it arrived today

Upon opening and turning it on, I successfully set up Windows 10 (user account creation, wifi etc..) and the moment I managed to get onto the desktop, my screen went totally black with my keyboard lights still active

I tried rebooting numerous times, and didn't manage to get the screen back on

I've plugged it into an external monitor and performed troubleshooting steps that Razer support had sent to me, and then was recommended to send it back to my local store and if not, to RMA it with Razer

Ideally I'd like to see if anybody at Razer on this forum has any additional troubleshooting steps I could try first?

Thankyou,

I have the same issue on the same exact model. I was in the middle of updating the BIOS that I had downloaded from the Razer website and the same thing that happened to you happened to me. The screen went blank however the keyboard still lights up. Razer responded that since I did not purchase the laptop from an authorized dealer on Amazon, they would not honor the warranty. I’ve purchased things from Apple, IBM, Lenovo and they’ve always honored the warranty based on the manufacture date if you didn’t have a receipt. If you have a receipt, then they would honor the date of the purchase. In this case Razor would not honor either the manufacture date or the purchase date because they claimed a seller on Amazon was not an authorized dealer. This is bullshit since other companies do not have the same requirement. Other companies backup the product but Razer does not.
