As other's have mentioned here, there seems to be a compatibility issue with this display and Nvidia drivers from the last 12 months or so. I have flashed the bios to version 1.04 and tried the following Nvidia drivers: 465.89, 466.11 and 466.27, none of which seem to support the built-in display.

External displays via HDMI work fine, but the laptop's 4K display black screen's with the aforementioned drivers installed. When viewing the 4k display in Windows Display Settings or NVIDIA Control Panel with these later drivers installed (from an external screen), the laptop's display only registers as 60Hz and/or the majority of options in NVIDIA Control Panel are unavailable for it.

It doesn't matter how these drivers are installed ("clean install" with Nvidia's installer or removing all previous drivers with DDU and installing the drivers from Basic Display Adapter), the laptop's 4k screen black screens with these later Nvidia drivers.

This problem is circumvented by enabling Nvidia Optimus in the bios, as the Intel display adapter seems to have no issues with the 4k display. When using Dedicated GPU, however, the display black screens again.

I currently always end up reverting to Nvidia drivers 431.70, which seem stable with the 4k display.

I would of course prefer not to be limited to using RTX 2080 display drivers that are over a year old on such an expensive laptop.

Hi there! Thanks for creating this thread. Razer is aware of the laptop's display behavior. However, the past firmware updates were not fixing the issue too. They are currently investigating what's causing the issue. By the way, were you able to submit a case to our Support Team? If you haven't, allow me to assist you in creating one by sending me a PM.
