For those that have the current Razer Blade Pro 17 chassis -- does anyone happen to know what the height limitations are for adding an SSD in this chassis?

Thanks a lot!

Not sure how thick but it’ll be better not the one with cooling pad installed from factory, I believe any m2 slot would be good, if you need cooling pad get the tape one from Amazon for dissipating heat to bottom lid, for advanced 15 it’s the thickest one that comes with the set for Pro not sure.

So you are saying I should just rely on add-on thermal pads? I just want to ensure the SSD temperature is as cool as possible, and was wondering if any modules with actual heatsinks would fit in the available space.

I’m not seeing anyone who use ssd with cooling cap like some from Adata. On fast nvme like Samsung Evo, temperature might be an issue but I use that Amazon pad tape, and stick the thickest one to touch bottom lid, it’s around 30 degrees ssd temperature improvement. Before was easily touch 90 now I think I never see on 70ish even with stress test like on cristaldiskmark. I think even it comes with factory thermal pad if it can’t dissipate well to chassis it’ll same hot, it’s a bit different with desktop where has more cooling room.
