I purchased the Razer Blade Stealth 13 (Late 2019) to replace my Dell XPS 15 since it also had a Thunderbolt 3 port. I have a Dell TB16 dock with a 3 monitor setup that worked great with the XPS. Unfortunately, my experience using it with the Razer Blade Stealth has been less than great.
When I connect the laptop to TB16, it doesn't charge and only 2 of the 3 monitors work. It looks like the monitors are using the Iris integrated graphics chip, not the Nvidia GTX card. I was able to get 3 monitors working using the Iris Control Panel, but resolution and colors aren't great and I'm guessing it's because it's using the Iris graphics chip. Support recommended that I installed an Intel DCH drivers (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29465/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=195734) but these were not compatible with my laptop. They also wanted me to install an Nvidia driver I already had installed. In my final interaction, they recommended launching the Nvidia Control Panel, click Manage 3D settings and set High-performance Nvidia processer as the preferred graphics process (it was already set that way). With that, they said I'm out of luck and I should by a Razer eGPU.
My question is, am I out of luck? Is there any way to get the dock to use the Nvidia GPU? Is it possible to charge this laptop using the Thunderbolt 3 dock?
