My 2017 Razer Blade Stealth feels pretty hot to the touch, mainly on the left side of the keyboard around the power button. This is my first ultrabook so I want to know if this is "normal" or what even is considered "normal" temperatures. I attached an image showing the temperatures, in the beginning I ran a game, the middle i watched Youtube videos, and the end i ran a CPU stress test. Any suggestions on how to reduce the heat? Should I send it in to razer so they can check it out/replace it? Thanks for the help.

Some mods/admins have said that hitting 90c under load is normal with these, so as long as you're within the upper thermal throttle limits it's not worth doing anything about it. In the future maybe ultrabooks aren't for you given their "aesthetics over performance" nature and that gaming laptops are getting thinner anyway.

Thats right. I've had my RBS for a couple months now and thats about how it runs. As long as you are not doing anything crazy and pushing it beyond what its capable. It should be fine.

I did order the razer blade stand to help with ventilation beneath the laptop. Never tested actual temps with/without but sure it helps some with temp. during long sessions on the ultrabook.

I would use this Razer Live Chat.

Especially since you're in warranty. If you were outta warranty, you woulda had to wait for more replies before a mod closed the thread.

I hope your issue gets resolved to your satisfaction! Good Luck!

And Have a Nice Day! :smile_:

Ya I agree, you can't expect "awesome" performance from an Ultrabook.

56 degrees is absolutely nothing to be worried about.
