I just got it today and just downloading games I hit 100c constantly. not even playing games. And the laptop itself is super hot. and I have a tiny buzzing sound from the fan I believe as well.

But if nothing is happening it will stay around 50-60c

mine is the same. runs hot and the fan is noisy. hoping that the core makes up for the shortcomings.

how long have you had it? Do you play games on it? does it crash at all because of the temps?

I would contact Support, or whomever you purchased it from. I've had mine for about a month now (second one anyway) and haven't had these problems. I would get a replacement.

  5. Yeah I would get a refund or return as soon as possible before out of warranty(14 days). I returned my UHD from Microsoft day I received it due to fan and battery issues. Waiting for blade 14 2016 now

The search feature is your friend. We already have numerous threads discussing this issue. Anywho, Blades run hot, but the buzzing you should contact support about.

Mine also has that slight buzzing sound from the left fan, it stops buzzing when it gets to higher rpm. My fans never really get super loud, except one time when my battery died it sounded like it was going to take off lol. I was looking for a way to control the fans manually, but razer support said that ''at this time there is no way to control the fans'' hopefully they will issue a update to control them. Mine also gets to 90c but only when I'm gaming.

yeh im sending mine back because that fan noise has become louder. it sounds like a issue with the fan bearings to me. its the 2nd fan not the one visible from the bottom. im just waiting for a shipping box & it will be on its way.

Hopefully you have decent homeowners insurance / renter's insurance. Hopefully you have record of the serial number for a police report, too.

Those temps are wayyy to high. That's 212 degrees F.
I play gta 5 for hours (Without the core) & I my temps have never got that high. The highest temps I've ever recorded is on mine was 201 F.

Thats a difference of like 5 degrees celsius, not as big of a deal as you are making. Anywho my edge is currently sitting at 70 ish just running a bunch of background apps and web browsing and watching videos. When I game on it it hits almost a hundred. As I explained earlier, these machines run hot, and are designed that way. I have had my edge for years with no issues from the heat. But if you guys are really that concerned and determined not to listen to those of us that have had Razer systems for years, contact support.

Yes,I do know that the they run hot. Mine also gets hot like I said. But, I wasn't making as a big of deal that you said I was making. But I was just saying that There could be a problem with one of the fans, especially since it is buzzing. Mine is also buzzing. It is the secondary fan, the one that isn't visible from the bottom.

If you buy with American Express, they cover an additional year of warranty return window on eligible purchases. Other credit cards do similar things.

Someone does not want us to keep RBS for years so badly? I do not see anything good from hitting the junction temperature. Especially RBS being capable of cooling itself much better.
