  1. Hey

I've recently been a bit worried about my razer blade temps (100 Degrees Celcius while gaming) , and seeing I was out of Warranty, I wanted to try re apply my thermal paste.

I opened the blade up, and started unscrewing. I followed this tutorial -

Everything was good until I came across this little metal plate (circled in green), that was stopping me from lifting the left side of the heatsync.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

EDIT - Realised the entire things comes off, just needed to pull a little harder xD

PM @vistar, i think he know since he did that on his Blade. Never opened my Blade and repasting it, only software tweaking like Undervolting, bios moding to decrease the temperature to max 81, though recently AC Origins brought it to 89 Celsius, maybe because the game or windows update, idk exactly. But have no throttling stated or performance drops though, maybe need to lowering my UV value.

  3. Ahahah thanks for the reply, feel like such an idiot right now. turns out the plate comes off with the heatsync, just needed to tug a little harder.
I've undervolted my blade with the bios too, i'll post up a spreadsheet about the gaming and temps before and after thermal pasting and undervolting.

    Cheers

Hi AlbinoFrog, I am in the edact same aituation here. Removed all the screws as explained in the tutorial but my pc is a bit different (equal to yours). The thing is that the right side (on uour picture) is already loose, but when I try to pull the left site, the whole board comes together. Did you cut the black rubber that holds the heatsibk as well? Is there any especial way to pull :) ?

    Tks!

  5. Hey man, not really sure what you mean. I pry the very left of the heatpipe then continue to the other side, some photos or videos would be nice. Is there anything you can feel holding it down? I didnt need to remove any more screws

Throttlestop, this can display the temps on the taskbar.
