I don't know that the chart in this post confirms that as much as it lists companies that use a Nvidia cards. It's a clever marketing trick to put the chart at the end and have you assume it's a confirmation.

Probably just the companies that received prototypes and placed orders for new units.

  6. Yes!!!! It's finally possible to have a beautiful, thin laptop like the Blade with a full-out desktop card!!! Can't wait for this one...

Here's a vid showing a Blade with a GTX 1060 GPU in it...

Excellent catch, good to know exactly what card they were able to put in it. Remember though the 1060 will be taking the spot of the 970M, the 1070 the spot of the 980M and the 1080 for those that had the desktop 980s. This will be by how much they cost and also what relative sizes they will be put in, so cards that previously carried 970Ms like the Blade will go to a 1060 and those that had a 980M to a 1070, it should be noted though that these are all desktop cards which are slightly tweaked to run in laptops.

  11. One thing to note, there are no longer any "M" graphics cards. The new Pascal mobile GPUs are just labeled as the standard desktop cards are. So, for example, the new Blade will not have a 1060M, but it will have a GTX 1060 that is pretty much identical to the desktop version. But yeah the GTX 1060 in laptops is pretty much the successor to the GTX 970M...

I m not sure about that, I believe Razer will at least wait until ces to announce their new Blade 2017s

  14. Pretty sure it will be soon as they said this was a "hard launch" and these laptops with the 10xx line of cards will be immediately available for purchase. I would expect some sort of announcement in the next few days.

Since they are using the existing chassis with minimal internal modification based on other brands they will likely launch it at GamesCom, the one in the video from the short glances we saw did appear to be a production model too so they may already have built up a decent stock.

Going to be a 1060 as per the video unless they announce a Blade Pro refresh. To be fair they did cut the price since they said they were offering a 970M, they may still continue to offer it this year with the 1060 being considered an upgrade which you pay extra for.

  18. Ah. This seems to be why Razer made the 2016 Blade "more affordable", since the one with Pascal which might be released really soon would be the original $2499. I see what Razer is doing.

Except, usually something like the newer card would come into the Pro version that also has the 17" screen, and not everyone is looking for something that large, so they'll still choose the 14" screen regardless. It's just another way to have more options and choices.
