RAZER BW V3 on Linux

Hello

I just bought a RAZER BLACKWIDOW V3 and it works like a charm. I am on Linux.

Now I would like to setup a static color for the backlight, this rotating color default mode is driving me crazy. OpenRazer doesn't support this keyboard just yet and frankly, I don't care much for a crappy piece of software running 24/7 on my machine anyways.

So I booted up an old Windows laptop and downloaded Synapse on it, plugged the keyboard, changed it to a static color and unplugged it, only to find that there is no way to make that setting sticky. No matter what I do on my laptop, when I plug it in my desktop PC, it's back to the cycling colors.

Is there any way to define a static color and make the setting stick (save it to the keyboard) after the keyboard being disconnected ?

Thanks.

The Chroma settings are not stored on the onboard memory unfortunatelly.
Thanks for your answer. To be honest, I don't care which color, I'd just like to have a static color - any color. Is that also in the chroma settings ?

Yes, I meant, that any lighting setting is not stored on the internal memory.
Thanks. That's what I was afraid.
If anyone from Razer is watching this, please add some mention of all this clusterf*ck in the product description page (https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards/razer-blackwidow-v3/RZ03-03540200-R3U1). Just a mention that if you're using anything other than windows, what you're buying is essentially a Christmas tree light in the shape of a keyboard.

Even the user guide states "PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS: A PC with a free USB type A port". This must be a joke.

On the product support page (https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3827), there is a mention of needing software to record macro keys (which is wrong, macro can work without software), leaving people to believe that for other things there is no software needed.

This is plain and simple false advertising. This is very sad because the keyboard is really awesome.

Can I maybe flash the firmware so that it starts by default with a static color? Any color?
