Razer CES Sale Problems...

    I stayed awake until 3AM to buy a BlackWidow chroma normal or stealth.
    transferred money to PayPal for fastest payment.
    had 2 windows open with the normal and the stealth in my cart.
    trying my code the second after it started and it failed...and again...and a again, for 8 minutes straight until both the normal where out of stock.
    ordered a Tartarus in distress of not getting one of my top 3 items and i tried with my Blade code...and it worked, WTF?

    now i have a Tartarus ordered and i see that they will be holding a new sale at the end of the month...
    and i can't cancel the order apparently.
    no matter how much i love this company and their products they fucked up the sale for me and for a lot of other persons and this staying awake until 3AM and trying codes until 4AM is not going to contribute to my school's test week this week...

    Despite all the issues that came out from the sale, which is kind of understandable with high traffic, I think Razer did well admitting their mistake and giving users another opportunity.

    i'm with you on that but that still won't get me my BlackWidow Chroma, money does not grow on trees :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
    and it does not solve the amount of sleep i lost.
    Razer made a few mistakes but just apologizing for them won't make me feel 100% happy again and i feel like they should understand that.

    And I totally understand your frustration. I hope they give users in your situation another option seeing as they won't be issuing new codes.

  5. Sorry to hear that. I agree that the process was rather frustrating (and waking up in the middle of the night to do it even more so). Have you contacted support? You could explain your situation and hope that they would understand.

    i have been thinking about contacting them but since i already have an original BlackWidow i don't feel like going through all the canceling order, them having to PayPal me my money back and getting a new code.
    i got the Tartarus now with 30 euro's off and i'm happy about that, it was my second choice so i was not already counting on getting the BlackWidow it's just since i had it in my card ready to order while in stock that i got that code error that ruined it for me.
    there is always next year for a new BlackWidow :)
     
  7. I tied to order a mouse and it didn't work. Then, I realized I was using the wrong code. After I put in the right code, it worked just fine.

    Maybe they'll credit you the difference if you contact them. I highly doubt it though.

    I'm just curious if I should use my code on just anything or if that screws up my chance at the remedial sale

    I switched the codes around after 10 minutes of trying. Luckily I was still able to get the DeathStalker Ultimate!

    Well, a lot of the products are sold out now. So unless they still have what you wanted in stock, I would wait for the remedial sale.

    i would wait with the code unless you see something now that you want and is in stock :)

    If you just made an account, the new codes should be the right ones without needing to swap them right?

    Yes, they (Razer) have corrected the issue.

    I wanted a Blackwidow Chroma Stealth also and it was sold out before I went to go look at it. I'm going to wait for the second sale at the end of the month to try again.

    it's worth it believe me, i got the Tartarus with my code as my second choice but my first choice was the BlackWidow, since they screwed up the codes i could not get that.
    i'm 90% happy i got the Tartarus and i figure i will be 100% when it arrives.
    but the 10% sadness of not getting the BlackWidow is still bothering me a bit.
    ask me if you want some tips on getting your item in the first second, lol :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    Yea
    yeah I was unfortunately another victim of having the blackwidow chroma in my cart but code messed it up for me... Keeping fingers crossed
