Will this work to power RGB lights that I want to attach to the underside of my desk?
My Current motherboard does not have addressable headers, can it be all controlled via a standard usb port with a mini usb connector to the controller ?

Please offer advise on if this is possible and how to.

Thanks

Yes it does and i can confirm this, but you need a molex connector too

So I just connect it to a molex connector, and then an open usb port on the outside of my case. I could then i guess fish the led lights outside to my desk where I want to place them... Hmmmm
Yes it does work exactly like that the port is same as other razer devices and works via USB too (I have tested) but power is molex

Perfect. Did you use it to control lights inside your case or outside by chance?
Mine are inside but its fine if you want outside remember though its 80 leds on each strip max

So I have no molex plugs which means i need to get an adapter molex to 15 pin male adapter.
Do you happen to know if the razer portion molex is male or female ? I have googled but no luck

Im also wondering, that if I matched the power cable to an external plug if it could be powered by an external cable too... Hmmm
