Which drains the most battery life out of a laptop?

You dont see a diffrence. If you want to know static will take more becose of led is active all the time. If you want save battry just lower the brightness of keybord to 30 or 40% and switch off razer logo on battery.

Are you sure? I thought the process of lighting it and shutting it countinuously could also drain a lot of energy.

Not really. The LEDs use electricity to emit light. They don't need a boost to initiate illumination. So the Breathing effect would use less electricity because the LEDs would only be receiving a charge 50% of the time.
I have the Chroma and my lights are always at 100%. The new Razer update is awesome btw if you haven't updates for the ripple effect, such a cool feature
