Razer Chroma Controller multiple controller recognition

Discussion in 'Razer Synapse 3 Beta' started by pulseSonicSilverside222, Jan 5, 2021.

  1. so i bought a razer chroma controller for my computer tower internal fan led's. and used up all 6 header with my 6 fans. i have the 8 cubes from ikea(KALLAX) and put a 24 led strip in each cube and bought 2 more controllers since i could just use a micro to a usb instead of the usb headers on my motherboard. but only 1 controller is recognized at a time. now if i plug and unplug the data cable i can get them all to light up. but not control more then 1. i was wondering if razer will be allowing multiple RGB controller detection and control? either via individual device and port configurations or one screen that shows multiple controllers and ports in use on one screen. they all are powered and working find i just thought this would be a fun way to decorate my game room and was suprised it only sees one controller at a time.

I am in the same boat as you. I bought two controllers to control comp lights and another to control room lights. No dice with both of them at the same time. After digging around here and on reddit I was told to return one by razer support. Of course you have to pay a restocking fee to return something. So it sounds like synapse just needs to allow multiple instances of the hardware. But there is also the issue of razer not documenting what is in the synapse updates so I guess I will just update and keep testing every release.
