    Hello There
I'm writing this forum post to get clarification about my Razer Blackwidow Chroma V.2

On my keyboard, I was very disappointed to see that the Razer App for Overwatch didn't look as good as I expected. For example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0en6dvVMJjM.

In this video, it shows the cool custom effects that it has to offer, but on my chroma v2, the effects don't look as well.

    Some noticeable differences.

    • In the video, the colors for different characters are really bright, but on v2 they look super dim and ugly.
    • When acting as Genji or McCree, there is a cool wave effect that shines when the alt is ready and being used, on my v2, it just stays the same color. :frown_: (This is the same for every character except a few acceptions.)
    • Regular things, such as other effects don't look as bright or also, not as cool as shown in the video.
The cooldowns still work with the highlighted keys, and some of the arts such as Reaper or Junkrat, Widow, and Moira. But, without them, all the entire chroma overwatch app feels plane, and I wish I had the one on the video.

So now, my two questions are,

    • Is it the V2? Is the V2 not up to date with Overwatch like the Blackwidow Chroma V1?
    • Is it me? Am I the only one having this problem?
Thank you for reading my post, and I really hope I could get some answers here on why I'm having these issues... If you happen to know why this is like this, please comment immediately, you would be appreciated. I got this present for Christmas and I've been scratching my head ever since.

So ... what exactly is it doing? Does it not change colors or do the same effects as what you saw in the video there?

Well mine's pretty much doing the same things as you're describing. It barely gets the yellow effect when it finds a game to play not when it enters the game, and there is a color for every hero, but there are a few who have some fluctuations in their skills like mercy or lucio that can be noticeable in the lights. See if you have your lightning to it's maximum power to have it on bright full lighting effects. And i agree with you the effects are really poor on Overwatch, but much worse on other games, and the guy from the video really has some nice transitions though.

Blizzard will be updating Overwatch to restore the effects to their past glory. The effects got borked in an early December Overwatch patch (IIRC).

The effects are the same on BW Chroma V1 and V2 (or X or Ornata or Cynosa for that matter).

Cool, this should hopefully fix the stuttering and add support for the new heroes

Thank God for some vindication that it wasn't my hardware or software that was causing this issue!

But man, Blizzard sure is taking their sweet time fixing this problem! It's been 2 months.

It seems we're gonna get them when a new update is release in Overwatch, they just patch the Blizzard World now but there's no changes in the lightning effects they remain the same and slowly taking place. Perhaps on future patches, let's just hope for improvements.
