I agree. Razer is the best when it comes to RGB. Glad that Razer is releasing more budget products to accomodate budget gamers like the latest blackwidow. Meanwhile while waiting for more, I hope Razer or any kind hearted soul write a step by step beginner guide in customizing a Razer HDK and maybe a simulation program to help newbies trying out the kit. Keep it up Razer!

With the recent update of synapse 3 which enables ambient lighting effects, i'm really damn tempted to get this man.. at least I can have it set to my default chroma wave effect when not gaming and ambient lighting when gaming.. :dollar::dollar: hopefully i get enough silver to redeem one soon :crying_cat_face:

I haven't come across any official info regarding that, sorry. I have confirmed that you can connect at least two extension cables to one strip and it will work just fine. How many extension cables are you planning in piling up?

The individual strips terminate after the 16 diodes. So only one strip per plug. And no idea on extensions. I would guess a reasonable number like 2-4 extensions per strip max.

So i was thinking to change my hue lightstrip plus on my desk and move it to difrent place. I use corner desk so my main have 130cm and on left table have 100cm and overall it's 230cm + small cupboard on rightside on main table that is araoud 30cm. Entire lightstrip must have around 260cm lenth. From i find main strip have only 50cm and extension 30cm even if i give it in middle it still 130cm on one strip this is why i ask about this :)

The dimensions stated under Lightstrip Plus by most of the website. You can try search about them out.
    0.5 x 0.1 x 39.0" / 1.2 x 0.3 x 99.1 cm
    Extendable up to 32.0' / 9.8 m
Can be cut at every 12.9" / 32.8 cm

Yeah i know but still main tabletop have 130cm and connected to it cupboard with let say 30cm it give me 160cm main strip on hdk have 50cm and external have 30cm this give me half :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: If i want to cover entire tabletop i need 80cm more from hdk and i dont know how many strip i can connect the question is not common but hdk have small strips ;/ and side table is 100cm so main strip dont cover it itself. On razer store and hdk manual is nothing about connecting strips and maximal lengh of strips ;/

Can you tell me if connection like 50cm to 30cm to 50 to 30 is possible ? This give me the lenth i need to cover main tabletop :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Buy More Kit´s and use the extension cable to get to the HDK xD
I Put it in my Case, had no problems with the length :)

If you want to lay the strips around your table, I would put the HDK in the middle of the table (below) and with a slightly longer Micro USB to the desktop PC.
The power supply for the HDK is a bit more complicated ...

Or you can expect a continuous fairy lights with app function and steer them thus :D

Not possible because you cannot extend the damn lightstrip by connecting lightstrip to lightstrip.
Only works this way tho but the power supply for 3rd options maybe will make the light goes dim and dimmer....

    1. Lightstrip > HDK > Lightstrip
    2. Lightstrip > Extender Cable > HDK > Extender Cable > Lightstrip
    3. Lightstrip > Extender Cable > HDK > Extender Cable > HDK > Extender Cable> Lightstrip

Thanks for replay yesterday i watch few review of hdk and more how this work :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: So if i want to do something like that ? lightstrip connected to lightstrip to extender to hdk to extender to lightstrip to lightstrip to lightstrip. Something like that is even possible or every time i want connect lightrip to another i must use extender ?

So if i want expand one strip to 3x strip with one connection on module i cant do it ? I must use one strip on every connection on module it's little confusing :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: On hue strip on the end i have little hole connections to expand the strip to another i assume here i cant ?

    Edit:
So i contact razer us support and ask about this. In short they sad i can connect strip to strip and extend it without extended cable and there is no limit of lengh but strip can go dimmer. Can someone confirm that ? I cant find any photo of end of strip to confirm that on the end is connector hole :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yeah. In hue they have little connection in both end of the strip but in Razer Lighstrip as you can see on the left side one only 1 side connection not both side.

This is small portion of talk i have before with support. @xCryptik can you cheack the end of strip it have or dont have the connection hole this becose i dont get it. Yeah on photo i saw this before the end is cover by plastic cover araoud the strip on tech support they say it can be connected becose it have connection. I want to be 100% sure becose if there is no waay to expand one strip to leangh i need there is no point changing the hue strip but if strip have this small connector hole and i can expand it this will give better overwall feel of chroma in setup.
