Strange. mine updated last Wednesday.
The update I received tonight gave me the new Lighting Fire Effect, so now my keyboard looks like it is on fire!
I do like the fire, but if you look again, it has startlight, thats my favorite when im watching media or its just sitting on my desk hooked up to my external monitor glad they implimented those in synapse
Man the sarcasm lol that's how I feel, i get what I paid for and razer as a premium product and with premium material and a sleek and compact the truly no compromise merchendise where and to top it off the company truly listens to the costomer if i had more money all i would use is razer products plus the love to put chroma on everything
No u get it but u cant buy the core now it just says notify me and all the coupons expire regardless of perchesing time and they dont stack
The idea of the Razer Core sounds great, but man 399-499(without the Stealth) not including the GPU itself is really really pricey, like Apple pricey. With a top end GPU to go with the Core, you are looking at a 1k combo. Some serious hole in your wallet =)))..
The RX480 seems like a good combo for the core for $200-250.
When closing synapse what kind of stock profiles do you have? Do you have a rainbow like one when pressing Fn + 2?
Very late response, and someone likely has already beat me to it. However, putting an external CPU inside of an enclosure like this would be incredibly cost ineffective. Barring the expense of R&D, the cable technology isn't where it would need to be to support the amount of data a CPU can move, so this would mean either developing a new cable standard altogether (overhauling the new TB3) which isn't exactly in Razer's wheelhouse, or creating some sort of proprietary technology, which, nobody really likes to deal with.
Furthermore, the amount of other components that would be necessary to make this solution happen would not only increase the footprint of the enclosure exponentially, but the complexity of the solution entirely. At that point you'd be relying on your actual laptop for storage, memory and a display? At this point you're a hair away from just having a full blown desktop solution anyhow, no?
My intent is not to imply or portray any disrespect, just trying to bring light to the pitfalls of this proposed solution. Innovative thinking is so important, and I admire what you were striving to accomplish here. So if i back up, i might say this response isn't practical in the short term future; perhaps in 5-10 years though. Keep creating ideas, we need people like you to continue developing new technologies.
Kind of sucks they wont even give us any form of ETA - Wonder if there is something holding it up, or if they are scrambling to get it ready - How did they handle the pre-orders, and in-stock notifications for the Blade Stealth / Blade?
This solution enables you to have true desktop graphics performance. And i understand mobile GPUs are coming closer and closer to the same performance as desktop cards, but its not there yet. For some people, being able to game anywhere isn't as important as the level of mobility that the Stealth brings. Not only that, this enables the buyer to hold on to their computer much longer and only upgrade the video card. Far less expensive alternative in the long run.
Honestly, since the update i havent tried closing out synapse and checking if the stock profiles changed at all. I know that before the update, if you closed synapse the starlight and fire profiles were on there as factory demo, along with the usual profiles. But now with the update we can set starlight and fire in our synapse its self which wasnt offered prior when synapse was engaged.
Has anyone else had any issues with the Core's USB controller? Both my Blackwidow X and Mamba TE seems to randomly freeze/disconnect/reconnect when using the 4 USB ports on the Core; but are perfectly fine when I directly connect it to my RBS.
I see, there's one that I really like which I call "fruity" for now, and I hope that it makes it into the next synapse update.
Lol ill have to check it out. So its different than wave?
At first I thought it was a frozen wave, but the next thing I know the colors have changed in different sections, like spectrum cycling. I also like the brighter colors on top compared to the darker bottom.
Interesting. Ill have to check, when i get home from the office.
Here is what I have:
yep, same here, yours is up to date!
Yeah, I got the same thing with synapse but with that off, you can get factory profiles and I just noticed that there's a red wave going from right to left on Fn+2 profile. Really subtle, I like it more than the wave.
