Hi,

I want to buy Razer Core X Chroma, however, I want to know whether it is compatible with the new Geforce RTX 3090.

Thanks.

We have not tested this yet, but as long as it fits, it should work. Do note that the Core X Chroma only has two 6+2 pin connectors, so you may want to stay away from partner cards that require more than that.

Thanks could you confirm what's the maximum size of graphics card which can fit core X ? Also is there a new version of Core X ?

I don't have any information about newer iterations of the Razer Core. But the Core X Chroma can fit up to a full-length 3-Slot wide, PCI-Express x16 graphics card. Here are the maximum dimensions:

  • Length : 12.99”/ 330 mm
  • Height*: 6.29” / 160 mm
  • Width : 2.24” / 57 mm

Will an 8 pin to 2x8pin splitter solve the issue with having only two 8 pin connectors?
Interesting question - has anyone by now been able to confirm if the RTX 3090 card can be used with any Razer eGPU chassis?

Yes it works with ASUS Strix 3090 OC, with an 8 pin splitter.
