Razer Core X Chroma Not Working as I Would Expect

Today I setup a Razer Core X Chroma to use with my Razer Blade 15 2019 base model. Over all this setup is working great, but I am scratching my head with one issue. I have my monitor connected to the Core X Chroma, when I boot the machine up the monitor is usable. However if I disconnect the thunderbolt connection and then reconnect the GPU is not identified, which causes the monitor to not be usable. My keyboard and mouse still work as expected that is connected via the Core X Chroma, but the GPU refuses to work. To get around this I need to restart the laptop, so the GPU is identified and makes the connection to the monitor again. Is this how it is expected to work? I reinstalled my drivers a couple times and searched around to no avail.

Hey there! Thanks for posting your concern to our Support thread. This is kinda odd. Does the issue happen regardless if the laptop is on battery power or while the power adapter is connected? Have you tried connecting it to a different available port on your monitor and see if the issue still persists?
That is the case currently.

I reviewed further and from what I can see after I disconnect the thunderbolt and reconnect, Windows cannot get the my external GPU to sync with the installed GPU driver. I found a workaround that is below, not ideal but it will work.

Workaround I found was to disable my eGPU in device manager if I need to disconnect, and then when I reconnect enable my eGPU again. After enabling the eGPU is synced back up and my monitor displays.

Thanks for sharing! Please send me a screenshot/photo of the following below:

a. EC firmware version
b. BIOS main tab

Please save the screenshot/photos in your Google Drive or Dropbox then send the link via PM. Let's continue from there.
External GPUs have the desire. Liking it in with a single rope, and you'll change your PC into a top-level gaming rig in origin.
Razer has made these fenced-in sections throughout recent years. However, its most current section combines the best of its past efforts into one smooth bundle. The Core X Chroma has the bigger size, and wattage size of the X model, however, reintroduces RGB brightness and USB ports. Replacing the Core V2, this new outer GPU is the best of the variety.
I am having the same issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver numerous times. This is getting SUPER frustrating. I have to do this at least once a week.
