Razer Core X Not Recognized

I have a Razer Blade 15 (2018) base model and I just got a Razer Core X with a 2060 super, I plugged in the power cord as well as the thunderbolt but my laptop still wont recognize it, i tried installing drivers and going through many updates but nothing seems to work. pls help!!

Check bios settings. Make sure that thunderbolt security is disabled.

I just tried that but the thunderbolt still isnt picking anything up, I tried a different cable with a different device and it also didnt recognize it. So now im even more confused

You tried another device? The cable they provide is short, but I have not been able to find another good cable that works other than the short they provide. It should be plug-and-play. Did you also install synapse 3? Either you have a faulty cable or the device is faulty altogether. Is your laptop able to drive an external monitor using thunderbolt? For me it did not work until i disabled thunderbolt security. My issues are now with my dGPU being disabled permanently. So even if you get it to work you may run into other issued unfortunately 😞

I think i found the issue, i tried plugging in the power supply to a different outlet because i realized my fans weren't spinning. I came to the conclusion that something with my power supply must be wrong because no matter what i try, nothing turns on and maybe this is why it wont connect, any tips on how to fix this? do i need a new power supply? did i set it up wrong?

The fans won't spin unless it is recognized. If it is not recognize nothing will start up. For me it is unstable. Sometimes I have to reboot a few times and then it will work. Keep in mind, this is a razer blade 2019 advanced... You would think razer would test compat with their own systems...
