Back in 2020, I was able to use this setup, then I didn't use it for almost a year.
Afterwards, I asked my friend to ship the CoreX with 580 inside to me(contained in the original box with original foamed plastics).
I firstly used it on my 2019 16inch mbp, it works fine, and after two days, during one of my game, egpu suddenly became not working and not detected by the mbp. I tried it with my 2018 Mac Mini as well, and an windows laptop.
If the shipping damaged the egpu, then it wouldn't malfunction after two days of use.

PS: after tried all kinds trouble shooting that I can find online, it still doesn't work.
Now the mac detects the egpu as display, but not as its graphic card name(RX580). Can't send signal to the external monitor, but it will charge my mbp. The power fan works, but the graphic fans runs for 10 secs and shut off. Graphic light stays on.

Any idea of what part went wrong?

Have you tried reseating (disconnect/reconnect) the RX 580 graphics and all your cablings? Also, do the Macbook Pro 2019 and Mac Mini 2018 that you've tested have the same Mac OS version? What's your laptop's Windows version? Have you tried submitting a case to our Support Team? If you haven't, please click this link or send me a PM.
