While the keys themselves glow spectacularly, the underglow was more underwhelming than anything. The lights on the chroma headset stand are super bright and they look like they should be the same brightness. And to top it all off the cable isn't even sleeved like ALL of the other razer gear I have. I have also have the blackwidow chroma x. I don't know why I bought this one to be honest. I would have a question, what are they calling soft cushioned key? can you take a pic please?

I think they just mean the membrane style keys. Unlike a mechanical keyboard with a tactile click and stiff keys this one has smooth presses that don't *click* its much quieter if noise is an issue. I'm not really sure how to take a picture of that.

It still looks good, But I agree, It should be brighter. Is there a setting somewhere where you can control the brightness for the underglow alone or is it included in the brightness for the overall keyboard too?
I think its just the same type of membrane keys on a normal membrane keyboard, With mid profile keycaps from what I know.
The way I think of it is it seems to be close to the same as some of those OEM keyboards from dell and stuff, But Razer quality over the OEM quality.
Also maybe something like the same feel and sound of a Deathstalker with the rubber dome membrane keycaps (Not sure though, This is what I think of it though.)

Hm. It seems like the underglow is more like the Firefly's?

yea its alot more similar to that. now that I'm looking at it more it seems they are using the same leds the light up the keys to light up the underglow as well. most of the light is pointed upwards so not a ton makes it to the bottom through the light diffuser

I think the underglow is darker because it's not touching the desk

there is a highly noticeable difference in brightness in person on the desk or off the desk. The picture I guess doesn't do it much justice

Really? I'm not picking up on that at all. They look pretty vivid to me. I'd get it the way you have it in the picture if I didn't have budget constraints.

with the lights on in the room you cant see the underglow. you have to look underneath to see it. I mean its not terrible but i was expecting a little more. in person the headset stand glows way brighter than the keyboard underglow in my opinion. I ended up taking it to work because the keys are quite and the key press is very responsive.
