Razer Electra v2 Not Working Properly

Hello, my Electra v2 is not working properly and I don't know what to do. It just randomly stops working (no audio; mic stops working too) and I have to keep unplugging and then plugging it back in in order to keep it working. Sometimes it also changes its name to "CONEXANT USB AUDIO" and it stops working properly - it distorts the output sound and the microphone also records distorted sounds. What should I do? It's very annoying. I didn't damage the product in any way, so I don't think it is because of me.

We have a firmware update to combat this detection issue. Please PM me the serial number of your headset so I can give you the updater tool.

I'd be happy to help you out but I'll need the SN to be sent over via PM so I can give you the firmware updater. By the way, what you posted here is actually the product number.

Caziel, I'm from brazil and sorry for the question, but I don't know what it means (PM) could you explain to me step by step how to open a """PM""", it's the first time that I access your website and forum.

SN is what is under the box, correct?

Edit:
I read on a forum that disabling legacy USB support bios, the problem could solve, yesterday I disabled it and I was able to play for more than 1 hour without interruption and there was no problem, today I will try after work to stay longer using headset, on the contrary, I will send the SN when you get home.

I have two questions:
would it be a good practice to disable legacy usb if it really solves the problem?

would this firmware be specific to my serial id or is it mass distributed to all electra usb v2?

Yes, the SN is on the box. You can click on my name and hit "start a conversation" to initiate a PM. Anyways, it's okay to disable legacy USB since it won't have any impact on most USB devices available in the market these days. As for the firmware, it is given only for Electra V2 users that experience this same issue.

With this version of firmware that will send me will it disable some function or quality of my headset?

I just sent PM.

No, the firmware will not affect the functionality of your headset. It will only correct the device detection issue you're experiencing.
Im experiencing this too and it is Very Annoying
everytime i play CoDMW, when the round ends it stops working for a few seconds then works again, sometimes my voice will sound like a chipmunk aswell... please help
if you upgraded to the latest firmware version and already formatted the computer and did not solve it, look for the exchange guarantee
I did a last test which was to leave a headset on a laptop on an online radio and went to sleep the next day it wasn't working anymore I had to disconnect and connect it again on the USB

Shoot me a PM so we can try to figure out what's causing the issue in your setup. As for @yfuchoa, we deemed the device defective, and we are already looking into his RMA options.
Guys, try this (worked for me)
Go to sound settings -> choose the Electra V2 and go to devide proprieties -> Aditional device proprieties (at the bottle).
One window will appear, in this window go to "Advanced" and change from "Studio Quality" to "FM Radio Quality".

If worked for me, maybe can help y'all too!

Thanks for sharing. Was your headset detected as Conexant USB Audio before switching the default output format to FM Radio Quality?

Yes, it was. I had installed everything right. Changing the default output format solve the problem to me

Is the headset now appearing as Electra V2 on the device manager after switching the default output format? I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot. It's just that I want to try to recreate your situation so I can better understand why the solution works. Do you mind sending me a PM instead to avoid flooding the thread?
