Razer Firefly v2 Tracking Issues

I bought a brand new Razer Firefly v2 from Razer.com because I was looking for a mousepad. It arrived with a small chip in the plastic surface, allowing the led light to shine through in the middle of the mousepad. I was willing to let this slide, however, when after using it for a few days it suddenly developed large and noticeable tracking issues. I am using a Razer Lancehead, if that matters.

Issues include:
Moving the mouse diagonally occasionally makes the cursor look like it's going up or down a flight of stairs.
The cursor occasionally locks on the x-axis and only moves up or down for a few seconds.
When jiggling the mouse back and forth sideways, the cursor position occasionally locks, causing the whole movement to be shifted to one side by a large amount.
The cursor can randomly jump in a random direction while trying to make precise movements
Using the mouse generally feels like I am fighting an AI that is trying to steer the mouse to where it thinks it should go

If these issues were present out of the box, I didn't notice for a few days, which makes me think that these issues appeared spontaneously today (May 25th) as the performance issues are extremely noticeable.

I have tried recalibrating my mouse to the Firefly Hard Edition setting in Synapse. I have tried calibrating my mouse every mousepad setting available in Synapse. I have tried calibrating a custom mousepad setting using the Firefly. I have restarted my computer. I have reinstalled Synapse. I have unplugged and replugged the mouse and mousepad in various combinations.

My testing reveals that the problem likely lies in the mousepad. Regardless of calibration settings, my mouse works flawlessly on my bare desk. I even tried using the mousepad upsidedown, on the non-slip rubber side of the mousepad, and despite the stickiness, the mouse tracks better on the non-slip rubber than the intended surface.

I have seen this issue reported in other parts of the forums, but have seen no answers. Are there any solutions to this issue?

I really like Razer products, and this is the first bad experience I have had with one of their products. I would really like a solution for this problem, or at least a refund.
