Razer Huntsman Mini keyboard connection to iPad/iPhone

Hi, I’ve read on Apple’s website https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209186 that you can directly connect any device with a USB-C port to the iPad Pro which also has a USB-C port, using the USB-C cable that comes with the iPad, without having to buy their adapter, e.g. https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MUF82AM/A/usb-c-digital-av-multiport-adapter
I’m wondering if the Razer Huntsman Mini keyboard will work if I plug it directly into the iPad’s USB-C port.
I’ve tried plugging it into my iPhone 12 Pro Max with the default USB-C to Lightning cable that came with the phone, went into Settings -> Accessibility -> Keyboards -> Full Keyboard Access [On], but it doesn’t work.
