Razer Insider - New Rewards System

    A week in advance and it would have changed nothing for you. You joined this thursday but somehow have 160 posts. You were 100% spamming for those rewards and I like how razer made them harder to get, so that spammers can no longer just do that and get free stuff. Sure im dissapointed with the change, but the main point of the forums in the community, not the rewards, the rewards is a small bonus on the side.

    Also no notice from Razer! No big red bold letters saying "Alert, we are switching systems. Please write down codes unless you want to lose it forever" or at least a forum notice... For us it was pulled down and we were left guessing. Not the Razer I know and I hope it was a basic lack of judgement or some back end issue

    Ok well let's see than. I'd say around 16-18 are posts I would consider spam. I have free time, I post a lot. Posts like the ones I'm making now has a clear degree of effort into them. I don't spam one liners, the only one liners I have ever said are the ones that couldn't really have more in them. I never did it for rewards, i already have a good gaming mouse, i have a Razer keyboard.

    The rewards would be a nice little bonus on top of being on the forums. Watch them stop rewards altogether and watch me still be here, posting just as much with no sign of rewards at all.

    I simply post a lot on forums. I think I can get around 100 posts or so per day divided between Reddit, this and some other game forums! If you think a post I made is spam then PM me and just let me know, I'll add more to a post and then everybody goes happy.

    That will be correct, the centralized catalog will rotate based on item availability, and with new partnerships, open up for rewards beyond Razer hardware.

    TBH everybody liked the idea of a larger catalogue of rewards. It's better than "500 posts to get a mouse". I think having some games, and hardware would be super cool.

    But next time give us a heads up ok?

    So does that mean they will cycle retroactively rather than based on a schedule?

    Yup! Every so often they will add new products. They will also add new things from companies outside of Razer

    So far we're able to keep up just fine, it hasn't really been bad. Especially since they have more official Razer staff keeping track of the support requests and shutting them down, so we really only need to watch the membership, multiple posts in a row, language, keep track of the rules/rule-breakers, etc. Honestly, it's pretty easy to handle.

    I'm honestly hoping that some of the posting issues will iron themselves out over time once people adjust to the new system and realize that post count will only get you so far. I mean, once you're active on Insider a while eventually you earn every trophy there is, and then what?? Then folks will be left to their own devices and will only be able to obtain zSilver by playing games, buying zGold and claiming it from Cortex/Arena every day. Which, by the way, is where I'm at. So, I know how it goes already. I hadn't linked up my Facebook/Twitter accounts to Insider yet, but as soon as I did that when the new rewards rolled out I already obtained every single last trophy available on Insider. I think as more people get to that point then things will settle down.

    Also, I think as some of the more obnoxious posters settle into the new system then new members won't get the idea that spamming or fast posting with teeny-tiny responses is the way to go and they'll actually take the rules to heart. At least reading the rules is now a trophy, so folks have to at least skim over them. (wish there was a way to know they truly read them, though!)

    There will always be bumps in any system, but I think the one we have is going to work out quite well in the long run. :)

    Honestly, this didn't come out of nowhere. We knew it was coming ever since zSilver and zGold was introduced a while back. We barely even got the more recent post count rewards, we were surprised we got them at all, because we knew that the new system was incoming any time now. No one was thrown under the bus or caught unaware, unless they're brand new here and didn't bother to read any past posts regarding rewards and what was coming in the near future. (or, rather, what has now come that we expected to come)

    Bingo!!!! You just nailed this right on the head - and it seems to be what so many people are missing lately!! We all should be here for the community, the friendship, the ability to share in Razer's products and triumphs and to commiserate when things don't go well. (like that ever happens, right? lol) The fact that they chose to be the kind of company that even offers rewards for their fans is a huge thing - I believe people should recognize that it happens all, far more than complaining about how hard it is, or how it changed or that it changed at all ... just be glad we CAN obtain rewards for being fans!!

    I love you all, and most folks who have been around here with me long enough know that, but sometimes I do get irritated and frustrated and I still have to keep myself professional here, but sometimes I just want to scream because folks don't realize what they're really getting from the company, and how few other companies would even bother offering a program at all.     I imagine you could always offer to volunteer, but none of us had any real process - we were actually invited when they felt they needed the help and when they felt that we were a good match. So, it's more like hand-picking than going through any official process. Then, if one of us doesn't work out (and there's been a couple) then they remove the person from the position. It's important that all of us who work together for the forum are on the same page and that we all get along. :)

    Spam probably wouldn't be as rampant with the new system. Post count doesn't really reap as much benefits as the previous system.

    é meio complicado... a razer vai precisar de tempo para organizar isso, mas se for bem feito vai dar certo com certeza ;)
