I was able to get the sound working, with my mixer working once I used my speakers instead of my USB headphones. Unfortunately, the software doesn't seem to work.
  3. does the rainbow effect show up 2 u? it doesn't to me

For those who enabled stereo mix, are you playing sound out of your onboard soundcard speakers or a USB device? If it's a USB device it won't work, and you'll need Virtual Audio Cable which is not free.

Unfortunately I don't know of any other way to loop back the audio on Windows. On Linux it's stupid simple with PulseAudio, but with Windows there is no universal loopback device.

If the rainbow effect isn't showing up, your SDK files aren't installed correctly (or you're running Synapse, or try rebooting your PC/reinserting your keyboard).
  5. i reinstalled the sdk and when i open the FunBusAudio my keyboard just goes like this
it doesn't help switching synapse profiles. i have to unplug it for it to go back as exiting the FunBusAudio doesn't work

Hmm. What audio device do you have set? Stereo mix? Looks like some bad data coming out of the algorithm. Were you playing music during this? Try turning down the volume if you were, maybe it's too loud and maxing it out. Otherwise there is a problem occasionally where if the visualizer runs too fast it gets bad input data and will glitch out making it all white, though this build shouldn't have that problem.

the stereo mix doesn't react 2 music anyway, but i wasn't playing music at the time i was recording

Ok, hmm. I don't have Windows 8 so maybe it's something to do with that. Has anyone else had it work in Windows 8? I had some issues running it on my Windows 10 Tech Preview laptop. Might be an issue with OpenAL.

  12. Hi CalcProgrammer1,

Could you create a Youtube guide for creating Audio Visualizer from 0% to 100%. It will help a lot for us (Beginners) how to make it work this kind of program and also could you add Scenario's so if we encounter some problems we can solve it. Thank you and much appreciated!

p.s.(Sorry for my english i know it's not perfect).

Thanks for developing this! Managed to get it all set up and working! One observation: not sure if its just me but are the lights just slightly behind the audio playing? Nothing too noticeable but I was wondering if there is a way to adjust this or if I am an isolated incident. Like I said most people may not notice it (assuming it is happening to them) because its very minimal but I seem to notice mainly when songs start.
  14. I also have another question since we will not using synapse for the keyboard only sdk. How about the mouse that using the synapse (i.e DeathAdder) our macro's ,sens and DPI. Is there any effect on the mouse or launch first the program of the keyboard then the synapse for the mouse?

I have to say, it looks so much better on the Chroma ;)
  16. I have absolutely no idea how to get this to work, can somebody make a guide please?

Did it but the visuals look really jumpy, is this because of the songs I'm using or might there be some software issue I've created?

The Chroma definitely has better color blending and much brighter LEDs! However the framerate is low and you can see it lags behind the K70 in my video even though both are being updated in the same loop at the same rate. I'm guessing the SDK buffers all commands and then the SDK service actually sends them? I'm direct writing USB messages for the K70 so it updates as fast as I can send it. Seems like a software problem but one that needs resolved to have a smooth visualizer.

I can try. Visualizers aren't really something easy to just jump into if you don't have any programming or signal processing experience but I can make a video on at least getting to the point where you can build the source code. You'll want to familiarize yourself on the basics of digital signals - time domain vs. frequency domain, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) uses, etc. Don't have to know the math behind it since I found a good implementation of FFT ready to use.
  19. Dude, i failed i can't make the program work, i can't download also the SDK program seems it close. Sad for me, maybe i will wait until you upload a video on how to make this thing work step by step. i also don't have Stereo Mix.

Just wait, maybe their SDK server is having issues. Try again in a few hours.
