I like the Kraken because it's new, has chroma, and the Tiamat has not been updated in a long time. However imo, the Tiamat looks and sounds way better with the analog sound coming from 10 discrete drivers. The Kraken is more comfortable though, so you will have to decide which features are most important to you.

I have both and I prefer the Tiamat because of the ear cushion is softer and the shape is rectangular rather than round. The ear cushion of Tiamat is the best from all the headset I tried so far.

Kraken 7.1 Chroma and Tiamat 7.1 is not suitable for mobile phone. Both of it need USB to power it up.

Tiamat 7.1 have 3.5mm input but the product has been release quite long ago.

I'd like to bet for Tiamat 7.1. nothing can be compared with true 7.1ch headsets with 10 drivers!!!

Clearly the Tiamat ! True 7.1, neutral as hell, you can manage each ch separately with the remote, a really nice mic and fits very well. I use it every day from 2 to 8+ hours a day and it never disturbed me. The Tiamat is an awesome headset for gamers.
The Kraken have way to much bass.

Razer Tiamat have 10 discrete drivers inside, Will this make a huge difference in the audio quality?..

Yes, OC. Virtual Surround Sound is kind of gimmicky to me.

All vote goes to Tiamat, haha

  19. I love the Tiamat, but you need a soundcard if your motherboard doesn't already have one... it's also more expensive... So if you just want to plug in a headset over USB get the Kraken, but if you want a "real" 7.1 experience get the Tiamat
The Kraken also has shinny lights... which is a +1

I have been torn between the Kraken 7.1 Chroma and the the Kraken Forged... Never had considered the Tiamat.. Now I am torn between the 3 for different reasons.. One is better than the other for different reasons... I had compromises!
