    Greetings all,

I'm searching for a Headphone that can be used for longer play sessions.
    Withouth hurting my ear?

Most popular ones are the Kraken series.
But there are 2 different ones.

    On-ear or Over-Ear

Hope someone can help me out.

Can you explain what is your on-ear vs over ear thing? Because I only see Oval and Round cushions, and they both are over-ear for me!

Round cushions is on-ear, it will sit on it.
And the oval one will cover arround your Ear.

My question is which one will have more comfort for longer play sessions.
Because i had headphones before that were pushing on my ear and was hurting.
I also needed after some months of playing go to the hospital because i got a ear infection by headphones.

Idk how it is with the Kraken 7.1 v2 is it soft when you have the round one.

Got the Kraken V1 for years now, and its an over ear headphone.
Razer Says that it has bigger cushions, and the various videos on youtube shows (without saying it) that the Kraken V2 is an over ear headphone. So I think you shouldn't be worried about that. In my opinion, Round and Oval cushions are in fact Over ear, but some people may prefer Oval cushions like Kingston's HyperX heaphones, so they allow them to have bigger cushions.

As far as I know, Razer never made an On-Ear headphone, even the Adaro Stereo got an over ear cushion despite its reduced size.

To be sure about that, you should summon a staff member or a Razer Headset Advocate (thanks to the lasts achievement) to answer your question.

Not really they're both over ear headphones on ear headphones would be the those cheap sets with smallish earpads that presses the driver directly against the earlobe.

The Kraken is an over the ear set as it uses a large thick cushion that holds the driver off your earlob & provides better comfort at the expense of add bulk.

The oval pads are simply there to accommodate people with larger ears that the round ones would press against the top & bottom of there lobes.

I have average size ears for my build so the round ones work for me they are extremely comfortable & very soft. In fact they are one of the few pairs of cans I've ever used that didn't cause me pain after a while by pressing my earlobe into the arm of my glasses.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Kraken 7.1 v2 for anyone looking for a good sounding all day comfort.

Speaking of headset advocates how dose one go about officially becoming one. I already got 3 of my friends to pick up Krakens themselves but that was easy I just had them put them on & dropped them in Battlefield for a few minutes. After that all they wanted to know was where to get a pair.

I myself have the V1 Kraken 7.1 Chroma, and I find that the cushions do sit on my (large) earlobes, which can cause some discomfort during long sessions.
This post shows the comparative sizes of the V2 round and oval cushions. The V1 cushions are slightly smaller than the round V2s (about 50mm inside diameter).
    I hope this helps.

You may want to try in-ear earphones. They are light and comfortable, and don't put any pressure on your ears or head. If you can get a good fit / seal, they can have better noise isolation and sound quality as well.

Razer makes several kinds. I have the Adaro in-ears myself and find them comfortable enough to wear for extended periods.

Um, sorry but there's no "on ear" option on the krakens. There's an Oval and Circle shape option, but they're both over ear. I don'r think Razer makes a pair of on ear headphones, and I find that over ear works best for extended use anyways.
