When I play music, videos or games, the volume rises higher and higher, and the sound starts clipping really badly. I know this isn't my computer, as I ruled that out with testing with different headphones. I find that this occurs when certain tones are played. When watching a video, this happened, so I re-winded it, played it over, and it did it again. This has happened at random times, with re-winding not repeating it. This has hurt my ears and I need a fix on this fast.

Try defaulting the EQ, disabling bass boost & sound normalization as well as setting the headset to 2.0 under mixer. That will disable all the audio processing the headset can do. If you still get issues then something's up.

You could also try plugging them into another PC without synapsis installed. Without the driver it should work as just a normal 2.0 headset. If you still get issues then it's the either the track or the headset.

If this helps, this video starting at 0:41 will make the volume rise.

Do you by any chance have an Apple Watch? It's a slightly annoying problem that I've seen as well because of the watch.
