Razer Kraken Pro V2: Popping sound when muting/unmuting while streaming . . .

Hi! Relatively new Razer user here, very excited to be entering the realm of equipment designed for gaming.

I was gifted a Razer Kraken Pro V2 -- this headset, if it helps -- and I've noticed a sound issue while doing some of my casual streaming. (To note: The streams are through the PS4, using a PS4 camera and the mic on the headset, with the headset plugged in to the controller audio jack.) I don't think this is happening while just using the headset to communicate, but since I haven't used this headset feature much, I'll confirm and follow up.

Every time I use mute or unmute, there is a fairly loud 'POP' that can be heard on stream. Anyone have this happen? Did you just stop using the inline mute, or did you find a solution?

There have also been some quieter click/pop noises from time to time, which lead me to believe that there may be a slightly loose connection on the PS4 controller connector, but the loud POP while muting/unmuting is universal.

Thoughts?

Update! I was able to test this over Zoom (so, different machine, live vs. streaming), and that 'POP' is definitely heard by others, even if it's not heard by me.

Does this just indicate a universal issue with an amped line, and will likely be happening no matter what I do?

Hello! Thanks for sharing your Razer Kraken Pro V2's audio quality concern. Have you tried connecting the device to a computer and tested different apps to isolate the issue?
Hi,

As I mentioned above, it's essentially happening universally, regardless of application. I mention Zoom and connecting in a wired fashion to a PS4 controller and streaming the content to Twitch, but it also happens on Discord.

A friend with more technical savvy than I suspects this is simply how all 3.5mm jack Razer headsets with an inline mute "work." Mute an amped line, and this happens. If so, Razer should probably disclose that in their documentation.

Thanks for sharing. I have to send this feedback to our Support Team and devs so they can investigate this behavior. Also, if the issue is happening when the headset is connected to other device, then the issue is a possible on its hardware side. When did you buy the headset?
