Razer Lancehead Question

  1. So, I've been looking everywhere for this certain question, but can't find a single thing. Guess I'm the first? XD

Can the side buttons on either/both sides be removed? (I'm assuming a no.)

    Why I'm asking:
For right-handers, right side buttons are kind of in the way and just seem uncomfortable. You don't really need them. Especially for FPS games and the Lancehead is definitely a FPS mouse. I know I would just be constantly pressing them on accident and just not finding a good place to put my fingers. I know you can just disable them, but it still seems unnecessary.
Another reason why I'm asking is because I HATE side buttons. All of them on every mouse. They're just pointless. They always get in the way of my thumb. I got enough buttons and am well trained enough on the keyboard that I will never need side buttons. But every single decent gaming mouse has buttons all over them and it just drives me crazy. I disable them everytime I get a new one. Mostly Razer mices. Sorry Razer.
I would really love to just have removable buttons with a magnet so I can just replace them with a smooth side so I can just have the three buttons I've always used.
If this mouse somehow possibly might have removable side buttons...then I will buy it on the spot.
Thank you. Sorry if this question is stupid.

I don't think they will be removable, Since they are not on any of the other Razer mice from what i know of. It would be a addition in the future to be able to replace them and stuff, Since yes i would agree they can get annoying sometimes when you accidentally click on them.
  3. How lame. Yeah oh well...Don't really want it then. :slightly_sad:

I don't know what the Lancehead is like on the hand, But i got the Deathadder and The Mamba TE and after a couple days of use the buttons start to get out of your way when you get the position you want your hand in. Not sure if it would be the same and stuff for you too though. The buttons are one of the only issues I have when it comes to Razer.

There is no side button cover like Logitech G900 has. but Lancehead can disable side button at Synapse.

This is precisely what I was going to bring up. If you purchase the mouse and determine that you do not want certain buttons to do anything (so you can grip them without any side-effects) then just disable them in Synapse, and then problem solved. Though, as with everything else, I'd just recommend finding a store near you that will have them available and feel one and hold it in your hand before you make a final decision. Or, just order one and if you don't like it and can't work with it, just return it within the first few days to a week.
  7. I already know that...
I have a Razer Mamba and the side buttons are just so annoying even in disabled mode. I just want a nice feel.
