So my razer mamba 2012 with laser sensor is slowly going dead. I have used the mouse 7 years and I really liked it.

Now I saw a good deal on amazon and bought the Razer Mamba 5G with laser sensor. But then I started googling reviews and I saw people mentioning alot of issues with this mouse and that optical is tons better. But only Razer Mamba Hyperflux and Razer Mamba Wireless has optical. The hyperflux is 2x the price and the mamba Wireless has a different design.

Also I saw that the design of mamba changed in general and now the deathadder looks exactly like my mamba 2012.

Will the laser sensor be really bad? I never noticed any issues with my current Mamba 2012. So what should I do..

The best way for you will be go to local store cheack both mouses your self and pick the best for you. You can always return devoce in time depending where you buy it. Also cheack review on the web and on youtube where you can see how it looks and performs.

The short answer is no--the laser sensor isn't "bad" at all. The Mamba TE is the one with a laser sensor and the Mamba Elite has an optical sensor. I have both and it's hard to tell the difference really. Both work great and I have had zero issues. I wouldn't be concerned about your purchase--what you got is still a great mouse.

Game on. :cool_:
