I've had the wired Man'O War headset for a while and recently whenever I use the dial to turn the volume up or down the headphones start crackling, it doesn't do it if I turn the volume up or down on my pc or on the video player though. It will work fine when I play a video, it only starts cracking when I adjust the volume using the dial.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried plugging it into another computer to isolate the issue? Is this also happening on different applications on your computer?

I actually managed to fix it by taking off the headphones so I don't destroy my ear, playing a video and repeatedly turning the dial up and down.
