Razer Naga Epic Chroma

Hi,

I have had 2 Razer Nagas before, which both broke after 1-1.5 years, without falling or any other way of being damaged by my fault. one of them had even been replaced within warranty, but also broke. Their cursors froze on the screen, or would only move vertically, and I could not find a way to fix it. Since I really like the Naga series, and how it fits my hand, I decided a bit more than 2 years ago to buy a Razer Naga Epic Chroma, which has worked fine up untill now.

Recently, again, out of the blue, the mouse started acting weird, connecting and disconnecting. I can see the lights of the mouse going on and off, flickering, and I am unable to move the mouse, or click, or do anything with it. If I plug it out and back it, it will work for maybe 20 seconds and then stop working.

If I don't use the mouse at all for a few hours, it will usually work completely for a couple of minutes. Once it stops working it isn't useable at all until I replug my mouse, after which I can use it for a good 20 seconds before needing to replug it again.

I have the same problem with this mouse on a different computer, and it started suddenly, meaning it's probably not software or driver related, but hardware. The weird thing then is that it works for a while when I plug it out and in again.

I have tried changing the cable to another one, with the exact same results meaning the cable is also not the problem

I really love the razer products, but they keep breaking right after warranty, making me need to constantly buy a new mouse, which really annoys me. I do not feel inclined like this to buy my 4th naga in such a short time period.

Could anyone help me localize the problem in my Naga, and maybe fix it myself? Or has anyone had this before and knows a fix? I guess out of warranty it wouldn't be worth sending this mouse to Razer to let them fix it, since that sounds pricey.

Any help is welcome.
