Razer Naga Hex v2 Defaults & Synapse Qs

  1. Just grabbed a Naga Hex v2 today and I'm hoping to get used to this mouse and add it to my tools of the trade.

Question 1: Having come from the Naga Hex v1 I'm used to having the default keys switched to the numpad. I am aware I can simply reassign the mouse keys to numpad keys, however, is there a way to tell the Synapse software I want the number keys to default to the numpad when I select the default pulldown? Any sort of setting or config file I can edit?

Question 2: I have a Razer Black Widow Chroma, is there a way I can make custom hotkeys using the Fn key? As example, I'd like to hit Fn+P to open a specific program or run a specific macro. Is this possible?

    Thanks fellas!
  2. An issue I've just encountered with Synapse.

I open Synapse and click on the Black Widow Chroma tab. I select one of the macro keys on the left hand side in the UI and attempt to set up an inter-device function. I select Razer Naga Hex v2 => Switch Keymap => and the list of possible keymaps is blank and cannot be done.

Is there a solution to this problem?

I don't think so... I sadly do not have a Naga, but you could always create a new profile, and set that profile up to the numpad. This way you could easily switch between modes instead of having to re-create the numpad profile multiple times.

Sadly the Fn key is not programmable, nor are key combinations. You may want to check out something like Autohotkey for more advanced functionality.

I assume you have two keymaps...
Again, I don't have a Naga, but I know you can set it to Switch Profile. In this case, you'll need to create a new profile with the new keybindings. I'm not sure if the Naga has a special "Switch Keymap" feature (I don't have one), but do make sure you're creating two keymaps?
