Razer Naga Pro stuttering

After approximately 1 year in service, my Naga Pro suddenly began "hitching" as it moved across the screen. The connection drops approximately every 1 second, for a blink of perhaps 1/10 second, producing a very annoying "hitch" in the mouse movement.

Mouse is connected using 2.4Ghz channel. It happens regardless if the dongle is connected to a USB port on the computer, or in the USB port present in the mouse dock. The mouse works fine in wired mode.

I think, but could be wrong, the behavior began when I let the dongle update its driver version, in approximately August 2022. I can't swear to that however.

Please help! Do I need a new dongle?

Hey there, I wish I had a solution to share with you, but I have been having the same issue. I've tested it across multiple computers as well with different versions of Windows installed. I've tried updating the firmware and the drivers (uninstalled and reinstalled) and am still having this issue. Have you also tried these solutions? Hopefully, someone can chime in soon and help us out!!

Same issue here. Got my new dongle last week (RMA) and it did not correct the issue. I still get the stuttering every 1 second on 2.4 ghz. Currently waiting on a replacement mouse, but they are out of stock for ~2 weeks.

I've tried everything I've read anywhere to try and resolve the issue on multiple computers (power manager, different usb ports, firmware, etc.) with no luck.
Well, it's at least good to know I'm not alone. I am annoyed with Razer, they have not once responded or acknowledged my several bug reports / support requests. My mouse is out of warranty, so I don't expect a replacement, but a response to at least help troubleshoot would have been appreciated.

More info = the same hitch occurs when the mouse is connected in Bluetooth mode. The mouse still works flawlessly in wired mode.

I am coming to believe that the issue is a flaw/defect in the mouse radio, probably in a component that is common to both the 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless transceivers, since I'm seeing similar glitch behavior with both 2.4 and BT.

I'm not one to jump on the "broken product" bandwagon too quickly, as often as not something I did contributed, but in this case, all signs are pointing to poor quality control in the mouse hardware.

I'm also wondering if the quality defect is broader than just the Naga mouse product line. If their other wireless mice and keyboards are also susceptible to this failure, that is NOT GOOD.

Yes, it is unfortunate that this issue has not been addressed by Razer yet. All 3 people in my household only use Razer products (mice, keyboards, and headsets) and half are used in wired mode and half in wireless mode every day. Thankfully so far it's only been my Naga that's had any issues. My husband bought his Naga in 2012 and it has worked beautifully every day since. I bought my Naga in Nov 2020 and it started having issues a few months ago. Mine has never gotten wet, never been dropped, etc...
Have you not tried chat support yet? I went through chat and got my RMA started fairly easily. Took a bit of time but eventually got there.

Just got my replacement mouse (full new box) and it seems to be working fine for now. I was still within the (2 year?) warranty on the mouse.

I've been trying to get to Chat support but cannot figure it out. It seems every option available does not match my product need. Can you tell me how you got a hold of them via chat? Like where do I go on the website to connect with them?

I've tried all ports on two different computers as wired and wireless modes and still the same exact problems. Glad you found a fix on your end though! 🙂

i was just lucky but my mouse still has problems: i have to clean contacts every week when i want to charge it on dock or it doesn't work and middle click sometimes does double click (already returned one for this reason)

i just read that nava pro v2 is coming, i hope they changed their switches
