Razer Nari not working

Hey guys,

My husband got me a Razer Nari this past Christmas and I love it! BUT - it has stopped connecting to my computer via Bluetooth and today will not even connect with the AUX cable.
I have:

  • updated all my Razer software
  • unplugged and plugged the USB wireless dongle back in
  • unplugged and plugged back in the AUX cable

and still no sound or voice. The headset is not being detected by the PC or Razer software at all. Is there sometime I am missing or do I need to contact someone for a replacement headset :frown_:

Thanks

Hey there! Sorry to hear about your Razer Nari's concern. By your description, it shows a possible hardware issue since it happens on wired and wireless. Have you tried updating its firmware? Should the issue persists, please send me a PM. I'll pick it up from there.

Hi -- I'm having the exact same issue. Tried upgrading firmware, also tried both the recovery and pairing tools -- none of it worked. Seemed like connection could not be established, neither to the bluetooth dongle nor to the headset itself, even with the USB cable connection. The dongle intermittently registers as Avnera AV6301, and Razer Nari Ultimate and unknown/failed, but no stable (more than 5-10 secs) connection.

Can you help out, please?

Hi there! It seems like a hardware issue. Please send me a PM together with your headset's serial number. Let's continue from there.

Hello there! Send me a PM together with your headset's serial number. I'll wait for your follow-up.
I have just purchased the Nari wireless headset and have an issue with microphone volume running in windows 10. Loaded into computer and connected not a problem, went through all the installation requirements and download etc. Clicked into computers speaker defaults and microphone defaults. In my test bars the slides are running up and down so the mic is working.
My issue is that when l do an internal sound record, there is very very low playback sound. I have ramped up the volume record to 100% with no change. I continued onto discord and also went through all the set ups. Can see mic noise sliding up and down and can hear without an issue. Again people can't hear me enough, they can but it is like a whisper to them but I'm talking quite loud, even close to yelling.
I have researched the issue on the web and conducted step by step suggestions with no results.
Please Help!

Hi there! Does the issue happen while the headset is connected via a 3.5mm audio cable? Ensure that the Razer Nari's mic has app permission too. You may access this setting by going to Windows Settings > Privacy > Microphone and toggling “On” under “Allow apps to access your Microphone”.

Also, ensure that your headset is the default recording device by going to the sound icon in the system tray. Else, run Windows sound troubleshooter and see if it helps.
Thanks for the quick reply Speed Hunter, my headset arrived with usb connections and had already conducted tests in the settings numerous times on my PC.
l had another play today on other computers and laptops l've got. Perfect full working order on a laptop. Couldn't work out how there would be a difference between the windows ran computers BUT i hadn't installed the software that's on the dongle on the laptop, still went through the whole setting up thing with the headset and mic levels and it worked perfectly on computers voice record playback and discord itself.
I then un-installed the synapse software on my PC and WOW it worked perfectly as well. Very Happy!
My only question is, what is the Razer Synapse 3 for?

Your point is well taken. To know more about Razer Synapse 3.0, please click this link. By the way, the Razer Nari comes with a 3.5mm combo cable. Your concern needs further investigation. Please send me the following from your main computer and other laptops where the headset works:

a. Screenshot of System Information (Hit Windows+R to open the Run box. Type “msinfo32” into the “Open” field, and then hit Enter.)
b. Screenshot of Windows version (Hit Windows + R. Open the Run box with then type winver)
c. Screenshot of Synapse version (Click the gear/cog icon at the top right then click “About” for Synapse 3.0.).

Save the files via Google Drive or to any online drive account then paste the link via PM.
